About Midwest Family Dental Care - Kokomo PC
Based on Rockford Lane in the Westbrook area of Kokomo, Indiana, Midwest Family Dental Care - Kokomo PC is a dental practice serving the area. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.
A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.
Cosmetic dentistry covers treatment aimed primarily at appearance — whitening, veneers, bonding, and reshaping among the more common options — for patients who are less concerned with a problem that hurts than with how their smile looks day to day. The right combination depends on what specifically you would like to change.
Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.
Emergency dental care covers sudden problems that will not wait for a routine appointment — severe pain, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, swelling, or a lost filling that leaves a tooth exposed. Same-day or urgent appointments are the point of an emergency service, rather than the standard multi-week booking window.
A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Very kind and caring staff.
Took a friends daughter here and tbt it kinda looks closed upon arrival but they are open during business hours stating! My friend and I while waiting enjoyed the outdoors area and was able to walk around picking delicious Berrys ! But all in all it was a nice friendly place
Absolutely love it here. Joan the lady that checks you in so nice and polite. The rest of staff is amazing. Definitely have the patience for kids and the whole atmosphere here is awesome!!! We drive an hour and half thats how good this place is!!
Love the people here! And I love that the dentist is so involved with patient care. They don’t try to “sell” extra unnecessary expensive services like other practices in the area…just what is truly needed for a healthy smile! I used to dread going to the dentist but now it is a positive experience!
Dr V is knowledgeable and great with kids! He is nice and my kids loved being at the dentist, he places my crown and I been very happy with his work! I would recommend him!
The dental assistant was kind, and the dentist was pleasant during our interactions. I scheduled appointments for myself and my daughter for routine cleanings and yearly X-rays, strictly preventative care. My daughter’s appointment began with her X-rays, followed by the dentist reviewing them. Her cleaning felt rushed and rough, and the dental assistant completed the flossing and brushing. When it was my turn, I completed my X-rays and expected a standard cleaning. The dentist reviewed my X-rays, confirmed there were no cavities, and mentioned that my gums were bleeding and that I should floss more. That was fine. After he left, a front desk staff member returned with paperwork for me to review and sign, explaining that the dentist recommended a “deep cleaning” focused on my gums, noting it could be painful and would involve additional cost. I asked if I could proceed with a normal cleaning, as that was the reason for my appointment and what my insurance covers. I was informed that the dentist would not perform a standard cleaning and would only do the deep cleaning. I declined, as I believe it is my right to choose a routine cleaning. I was also told I had a $50 deductible, which did not apply to preventative care under my insurance. I also found it concerning that the office does not have a dental hygienist on staff. Additionally, the exam rooms were very small, had no seating for family members, no place to hang a coat, and the floors appeared unclean. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. I took a day off work for a routine dental cleaning that never happened. I would not recommend Midwest Family Dental Care.
