Over the top unprofessional office behavior. Scheduled an appointment but the doctor wasn't available, next availability was the next month. Had to reschedule again due to sickness and now 2 weeks later I cannot get anyone on the phone so now they're just holding over $1000 with no way to get it back so I can find a competent office. Update: after leaving this review the office manager reached out to apologize and offered to reschedule for an additional $500 over what was previously agreed upon.

Horrible experience Mill Creek dental has two locations. I went to one in Lee Summit I believe weeks ago they did a fantastic job. They gave me a quote for a scope of work of $4000 give or take I get to the one in Shawnee, which is the bad one that quote magically went from $4000-$10,000.
Have always had a slight fear of going to the dentist. Not any more! Baylee is my hygienist and she is so calming and gentle. I have told numerous people about her and Mill Creek Dental. Highly recommend!
I was a patient for 3 or 4 years before they informed me my insurance was out of network. Practice manager berated me in public for not having $1750.00 out of pocket that I was never told about prior to my visit. She made me sign a post dated check for my next paycheck to solve that issue over billing me or offering any assistance for financing. Stating all payment is due at time of service. They tried to send me a late fee on a bill they only emailed me about once prior to the late fee. (...and I thought all bills were due at time of service right..?) Ive had 2 root canals they performed pulled due to failure after less than 3 years, after being seen by an endotist who recommended them to be extracted. Ive also had 2 fillings redone after teeth pain and a second opinion. So not only was I getting price gouged. But almost all their work has had to be redone at this point. I've lost 2 teeth and over 6000 dollars because I made the mistake of going here.
Baylee was very professional and gentle with my sensitive teeth. She pays exceptionally good attention to detail. She and the front desk staff took extra steps to make scheduling easier for me, and they even saved me some money in the process. Service was so good I recruited my husband and kids to transfer here as well!

As someone who is neurodivergent and often struggles with medical and dental environments, I was nervous walking in—but they immediately put me at ease. They were incredibly gentle, patient, and kind every step of the way. They took the time to explain what they were doing, checked in constantly to make sure I was comfortable, and never made me feel rushed. That level of care and compassion is rare, and it meant so much to me. The entire experience was calm, respectful, and supportive. For the first time, I left a dentist appointment not feeling overwhelmed or dismissed, but truly cared for as a whole person. If you’re looking for a dental team that combines skill with empathy, understanding, and genuine kindness, Dr. Jared and Alex are absolutely amazing. I’m so grateful to have found them and can’t recommend them enough.
