My sister just had her first dental appointment here and it was the worst experience. She went for cleaning and fillings. The doctor did not explain the procedure and was in a hurry. She did it in a rush, asked how the teeth felt afterwards but did not wait for her response. And when she asked a question, she said she had to go because she had to be in another room. Honestly, this is really sad.

Mission Dental and Dr. Jenkins are great ! I neglected my dental for a long time so it's been a process and I've had multiple appointments. The employees and Dr. Jenkins make you feel welcomed and at ease. The office is nice, clean and a calm environment. It's very convenient, especially if you're in South Nashville. Public Transit stop right in front. She's prompt about her appointments and does excellent work. It's been a Godsend for me ! Highly recommend !

I am (was) a verified patient of this office and received fillings on my front teeth here. From the first visit, my bite was not properly checked—my molars weren’t even touching, and I had to point this out to the assistant after the dentist left the room. My teeth were also left rough and unpolished. I returned because my front tooth and the tooth next to it were pressed tightly together with no space, making it painful to bite down. As well as swollen gums. I also asked for the rough areas to be polished. Despite clearly explaining the issue, the dentist did not explain what she was going to do and began grinding my teeth in areas that were not the problem. I had to stop her and explain the issue again. She then placed a tool/wedge between the wrong teeth and began pulling/yanking, which was painful. I had to stop her a second time to point out the correct teeth, after which she used the same tool between those teeth in the same forceful way. Now my front teeth feel thinner, my bite is still off, and I have constant pain and cold sensitivity that I did not have before. My teeth were again left unpolished, and I am now seeking care elsewhere to fix this. Additionally, I was waiting for approval for a root canal, the office called me at 8 AM asking if I could come in that same morning to have it done, which would have required out-of-pocket payment. I found this unrealistic and concerning for such a major procedure. I was told “there’s a time limit to have it done” Due to my experience with the fillings and lack of confidence in the care provided, I chose not to proceed with further treatment at this office, including the recommended root canal. As I’ve seen this office question reviews, I want to be clear that I am(was) a patient and this is my direct experience.

I’ve had a great experience here. The environment is very comforting and not intimidating at all, which makes a big difference, especially for kids. The staff is kind, professional, and very patient when it comes to helping toddlers get acclimated to the dentist without fear. I also really appreciate how flexible they are. If I’ve ever been late, they’ve done their best to still work me back in, which shows how much they care about their patients. Dr. Makeya is very knowledgeable and helpful, and her dental hygienists and assistants are just as wonderful. Highly recommend!

Very professional, patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. The staff made me feel comfortable throughout my entire visit and took the time to explain everything clearly. The service was also very affordable, which I truly appreciate. Overall, it was a great experience, I highly recommend for oral hygiene care! Dr. Jenkins is truly a top-tier doctor.
