About Mount Vista Family Dental

Mount Vista Family Dental is a general and family dental practice in the Pleasant Valley area of Vancouver, Washington, seeing patients from young children through grandparents under one roof. Rather than routing family members to different offices for different needs, the practice keeps cleanings, fillings, and more involved procedures within a single team that already knows your history. That continuity matters for families juggling several dental needs at once — a teenager's cavity, a parent's crown, a grandparent's gum concerns — without repeating the same history at a different office each time.

The service list covers most of what a family needs across a lifetime of dental care. Routine cleanings and fillings catch decay before it spreads, while root canal treatment addresses infection that has reached the nerve inside a tooth, and crowns or bridges rebuild teeth that fillings alone can't fix. Extractions handle a tooth too far gone to save, and gum disease treatment targets the inflammation and bone loss that come from untreated plaque. Cosmetic dentistry and teeth whitening sit alongside that restorative work, so a single visit can address both how a tooth functions and how it looks. Emergency dentistry covers what can't wait for a scheduled slot — a cracked tooth, a lost filling, sudden pain.

If you've been putting off a cracked tooth, a nagging gum concern, or just a cleaning you keep rescheduling, this is a practice built to handle the urgent and the routine under the same roof, without sending you elsewhere.

What a visit costs depends on what's actually going on — a cleaning is priced differently than a crown, a filling, or a root canal, and the only way to know your number is a look inside your mouth, not a phone estimate. The clinic is tagged for affordable dental care, which is worth raising directly when you call to ask what that means for your situation. Set off Northeast 20th Avenue in Pleasant Valley, Mount Vista Family Dental reads less like a specialty referral stop and more like the kind of practice a family picks once and returns to for whatever comes up next.

Mount Vista Family Dental in Vancouver, Washington's Pleasant Valley neighborhood offers family and cosmetic dentistry — cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, gum treatment, whitening, and emergency care — for patients of every age.

What services does Mount Vista Family Dental offer?

Does getting a crown hurt?
Preparing the tooth is done under local anaesthetic, so the appointment itself should not be painful. Some tenderness and temperature sensitivity in the following days is normal, particularly if the tooth had a lot of work done.
What is a dental bridge and how does it work?
A bridge replaces a missing tooth by anchoring a false tooth to the teeth on either side of the gap, usually with crowns on those supporting teeth. It is fixed in place rather than removable.
Is a bridge or an implant better for a missing tooth?
They solve the same problem differently. A bridge is quicker and does not involve surgery, but it requires preparing the neighbouring teeth. An implant stands alone without altering adjacent teeth and preserves bone, though it takes longer and needs enough bone to place it.

I highly recommend Dr. Hiller and his staff. Great experience! No fear dental service! I moved to Vancouver in August 2019. Yesterday was my first visit. I did a quick internet search for a dental office near to where I live and found Mt. Vista Family Dental in Salmon Creek. Dr. Hiller and his staff are wonderful. Professional, friendly and solicitous.

Very knowledgeable, great care. Great care, everything is explained and discussed, the office always knows if your insurance is going to cover the pending procedure or not. Everyone is so friendly and the appointments are fun Much different than my experience with dentist in the 1950s!

Every single person at Mount Vista Family Dental is amazing and I love them all! I’ve had dental phobia most of my life, so it thrills me to say that Dr. Nghiem and dental assistant Leah made me feel comfortable, cared for, and completely at ease. They are a fabulous duo! After multiple cavity fillings over the last six months, I can honestly say I no longer have dental phobia. That says a LOT coming from me! I’m truly grateful and highly recommend them!

This was our first visit. Dr Hiller was very patient and helpful when doing a checkup for my 87 year old mother with dementia who hasn’t been to a dentist in over four years. His recommendations were practical we left feeling well taken care of. It’s so nice to find a place that values their patients.

At this office the staff are very enthsiastic and energetic to offer their sevices. Dr. Hiller is an excellent implantologist dentist. He is familiar with almost every implant device in the market and able to take care of all kind of implants. Today I had my appointment with Bethany for dental hygeine job. She was very thorough and meticulous. Definitely will go back regularly to have her as my dental hygeinist.

New patient here - and I normally hate going to the dentist. I previously had an experience where a dentist told me I had cavities, but after getting a second opinion, I was told I didn’t. Because of that, I was nervous to try another office. I decided to try this place and wow - everyone is so nice and welcoming. The dentist was amazing and fixed my cavities, but also showed me before-and-after photos, which I had never seen done before. They also fixed a chipped tooth, and my teeth look phenomenal. This office 100% exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!
