Dr. Carlson and he's staff are exceptional. I had a great experience with my teeth cleaning with Taylor. Taylor made me feel very comfortable and she did a great job. Dr. Carlson truly cares about his patients, and I am really glad I started coming to Mountain Vista Dental.

I've been with Dr. Carlson for more than 20 years, and he is the best. Not only is he very kind and personable, but he really knows his stuff and always strives to make everything just right.

My family and I have been going to this dental office since I was 8 and 50 years later are still going. The staff is always friendly and explain what they are going to do step by step. My teeth always feel fantastic after a cleaning. We recommend them to everyone so a large number of our friends and family also go. I can’t say enough positive things about Mountain Vista!

Of all of the reviews I have written I cannot believe I have skipped one of the most important and obvious as a person born and raised here in Colorado Springs. As I was getting two fillings today, (after discovering my sealants from Dr. Palmer were finally wearing through after probably 30 years) I looked up and saw Dr. Carlson and his dental assistant, Sasha. It dawned on me that I have been coming to this same exact location since I was 3½ years old, back in 1984. I started as a patient of Dr. Ronald Palmer when I was just a little munchkin. He was always so comforting and amazing, and my experience with him over the years truly stuck with me. When I was about 17 (after having orthodontic treatment by Dr. Shaner downstairs many years ago) Dr. Palmer had the honor of doing the finishing touches to bond the gap in my teeth that gave me he confidence to smile in a way I never had before. Truly life changing. Also that bonding was expected to last 10 years and it is still in perfect shape today— 28 years later! That kind of care made such an impression on me that I seriously considered going to dental school myself. Unfortunately, chemistry and math were not exactly my forte, so the dental world was spared— although I still have serious regrets to this day! As I walk through The narrow hallway to the restroom with the familiar smell and sounds that I remember as a young child—now with my children and my husband, who has been seeing Dr. Palmer and now Dr. Carlson for over 20 years, I realize there probably aren’t enough words to write a review worthy of this office. There is so much I could say about my years here, the care I have received, and the trust that was passed from Dr. Palmer to Dr. Carlson. I also want to give a special, heartfelt mention to Dr. Drake Overson and Dr. Shelby Bachman, both of whom left a lasting impression on our family. Dr. Overson was incredibly kind and patient, and I will always remember the care he took with my daughter during her first fillings, helping her feel comfortable and at ease right before his sudden and tragic passing. Dr. Shelby Bachman was equally wonderful, warm, funny, and full of personality. I was genuinely saddened when she moved back to Canada, though I completely understood her reasons. Both doctors brought something truly special to this practice, and they are dearly missed. I also want to mention the wonderful hygienists, including Amanda and Somari, who have touched my heart over the years, and of course, the OG Kim. Kim joined the office back in 1990, when I was 10 years old, and has been there ever since. If that doesn’t say something about this office, I don’t know what does. Kim and I have shared so many memories over the last 35 years. I have watched her son grow, and she has listened to everything from my teenage stories to my adult life, and I look forward to catching up with her every six months that come way too soon every time. My kids know nothing different than coming to this office, and I love that they have had the same kind of care and comfort I grew up with. There is not enough I can say about this office, the doctors who have been there, and the hygienists, assistants, and front office staff who have cared for us over the years. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a local, genuine, and heartfelt dental office. I cannot even count how many people I have referred to them over the years. As long as I live in Colorado Springs, this is where my family will go for dental care. Attaching just a few photos of my munchkins through the years.
