About Museum Dental Center

Museum Dental Center provides dental care on Wilshire Boulevard in the Central LA area of Los Angeles, California. Tooth Decay Treatment is also among the treatments offered here, and the practice can explain what it involves and whether it fits your situation at a consultation.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Museum Dental Center located in Los Angeles?
Museum Dental Center is on Wilshire Boulevard in the Central LA area of Los Angeles, California (90036).
What days is Museum Dental Center open?
Museum Dental Center is open Monday through Friday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Museum Dental Center offer?
Listed services at Museum Dental Center include Tooth Decay Treatment. The full list is shown on this page.
Can early tooth decay be reversed?
Very early demineralisation, before a cavity has actually formed a hole, can sometimes be remineralised with fluoride and better plaque control. Once decay has broken through the enamel surface, it does not heal and needs to be cleaned out and filled.
Does a cavity always need a filling?
Once decay has broken through the enamel it does need treatment, because it will keep progressing. What that treatment involves depends on depth: a filling for most, and more extensive work if it has reached the nerve.
How can I look after my teeth between appointments?
Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and cleaning between the teeth daily covers most of it. Limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount consumed.

I had an excellent experience at Museum Dental and wanted to share how truly impressed I was. Dr. Khalifeh is an outstanding dentist extremely professional, patient, and thorough. He takes his time during the examination, explains everything clearly, and genuinely goes above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable and well cared for. You can tell he really prioritizes his patients' health. He went above and beyond to check my mouth or any TMJ and was able to give me suggestions on how to help with that matter. The staff also deserves special recognition. Jennifer and Elizabeth are incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Their warmth makes the whole visit feel smooth and stress-free. The office itself is very clean, modern, and inviting, which adds to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Museum Dental to anyone looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and top-tier dentist. Dr. Khalifeh and his team truly set the standard for exceptional dental care.

Been a patient of Dr. Khalifeh's for over 8 years. I live on the westside of LA and gladly drive out to their office to get check-ups and treatment, as they are consistently great at providing care and attention. The entire team is super welcoming and helpful, from the front desk and back room support team, to all the hygienists, the Dr. Khalifeh himself. Would recommend to anyone in search of a dentist, be it routine cleaning and check up, or more involved procedures.

Dr. Kalifeh is a miracle worker. My daughter had an issues with her tongue for weeks. We’ve been to doctors other dentists but no reprieve. Dr.Kalifeh patiently listened to us and we had an emergency appointment at 11 and she was on the chair by 11:05. His staff is helpful and I would totally recommend his practice.

Elizabeth always welcomes me at the front desk. She is always smiling and so kind. The dental hygienist Sonia worked patiently with me getting my teeth cleaned. She knew I was nervous and continued to assure me. Dr Khalifieh is open and friendly dentist. His number one priority is patient care. I recommend this Dental office for all your teeth care.

BEST DENTIST EVER! Do your oral health a favor and make the call to see him! Dr. Khalifeh has been my dentist for 20 years and I can say he truly cares for his patients; it shows in his extra efforts and his kindness. Dr. Khalifeh has improved my health in countless ways, but two major ones are 1) recognizing my restricted nose breathing that would eventually hurt my teeth and helping me get the proper treatment and rectifying it (who knew breathing through your nose while brushing your teeth could actually happen?!) to 2) relieving the extreme pain and popping in my jaw and head from my severe case of TMJ. Dr. Khalifeh has injected Botox in my jaw and temples and it is LIFE CHANGING! I had no idea that I had grown accustomed to feeling awful with constant dull headaches, tightness in my jaw and popping from grinding all night (I grind so hard I’ve broken night guards) that my first round of Botox I immediately felt better. I’ve had two rounds and going to do my third and final soon and so grateful Dr. Khalifeh came up with an amazing solution that doesn’t involve surgery. The procedure is not covered by insurance but is the best money spent. I trust Dr. Khalifeh with my life and with these procedures, he’s made my life better. He also has the most kind and gentle bedside manner; I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Khalifeh but if you get anything from my review, get this - your life will be enriched from a visit to Dr. Khalifeh! Few things: STAFF is top notch and very attentive and helpful as well as kind - they care about you too. Elizabeth has always been so wonderful and anytime I email her, she replies right back as well as handles the insurance so well and wants the best for the patient. They also do their absolute best in accommodating you and offer flexible days where the are open later. OFFICE: Great location, always exceptionally clean and aesthetically pleasing. Never a backed up waiting room (in fact I’m usually the only patient in the lobby) they schedule appointments well and I never have to wait more than 1 or 2 minutes. They always have the latest technology and they offer so many ways of communication which is great in this busy day and age. I also love his newsletter that comes via email, it has interesting facts. HYGIENIST: Debbie is perfection! When I started with Dr. Khalifeh he used to do my cleanings and obviously that changed over the years especially with his extensive research, studies and instructing at USC but he found an outstanding replacement. Debbie is so gentle and does a very thorough job and is very complimentary if you’re doing well flossing and keeping your teeth clean. I just love Debbie and wished she worked more days because only since I live out of town now, but I know I’m in good hands with her and trust her in every way. If you have any anxiety about going to the dentist, Debbie will ease all that for you. She is amazing at her career and truly cares. I love Dr. Khalifeh and all his staff. I have only had wonderful experiences and trust Dr. Khalifeh in every way possible. He’s amazing and so accomplished and I feel lucky he’s my dentist. He’s first class all the way! Do yourself a favor and have some self care and call Dr. Khalifeh 🤍
