About My Dental Company
My Dental Company provides dental care on Village Center Drive in the Northeast Colorado Springs area of Colorado Springs, Colorado. At the core of a general dental practice is preventive and restorative care: checkups, professional cleanings, fillings, and screening for decay and gum disease before either becomes a bigger problem. It is the kind of appointment most people need on a routine schedule rather than only when something hurts.
Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.
Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.
Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.
Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts. My appointment at My Dental was really good. The hygienist made me feel like it really mattered if I was comfortable before beginning her cleaning.
The staff members are incredibly welcoming and consistently go out of their way to help manage my anxiety. Their service is exceptional, and their kindness truly stands out. I always feel supported and valued when I’m there.
They continue to do an incredible job, always attentive, knowledgeable, honest, and focused on the best care.
Amazing dental team here! Happy to been coming here for years! Look forward to my next check up!
Everyone was so nice and made me feel comfortable. They put together a treatment plan that I’m excited about and will save money! You can’t beat that. I definitely recommend visiting My Dental Company ❤️❤️❤️
I was very excited to have a dentist that could accommodate our family's schedule with appointments on weekends and after 5, but the service was not what we expected. After my husband posted a bad Google review (they constantly changed his appointments), I received a text message stating that they canceled my children's future appointments and our account due to the review. I didn't post a review, but now I will. My first visit I went into an extreme panic attack where my body froze up and required me to have laughing gas. This has never happened to me before and I did not blame the dentist, but when I went back 6 months later, I was told that the dentist did my filling wrong so they had to redo it. They covered all the costs which I was happy about, but it was still traumatic. This was a childhood filling they replaced that I never had issues with, but I trusted their expert opinion and let them do it. I ended up with mouth pain and bite issues that I had to go back for. My second incident happened a few weeks ago when I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I was exploring all my options and my primary care doctor suggested I speak to my dentist regarding a dental device. I called, the office confirmed they do this type of thing, so I scheduled my appointment for after work. It was their latest appointment, so I took my toddler in their PJs expecting the appointment to be short. We waited in the lobby for 45 minutes with my son starting to lose his mind before we were called into the office only to be told they don't do dental devices. They referred me somewhere else. I'm a pretty patient person and understand mistakes happen, but having this company automatically remove our account and inform me over text without any sort of communication was the last straw.
My family has had positive experiences with Dr. Olson and his team. He is incredibly thorough and detail-oriented, and it’s clear he takes oral health seriously as an important part of overall health. We’ve had prior dental work corrected here, and he holds himself and his team to a very high standard, which we value. He is also very direct and clear in his communication, which helps me understand what’s going on and why certain treatments are recommended and which ones are prioritized. I’ve never felt left in the dark about my care. My husband prefers to do everything and really likes to get a detailed explanation and I like to get in the chair, get a prioritized list of options, and to just get to it so I can hopefully have teeth in my eighties. This is to say, Dr. Olson is a great communicator and can adjust for preferences well if you ask. The whole team is excellent as well. The hygienist does a fantastic job, and the billing and scheduling professionals are organized and proactive; they always make sure we understand costs ahead of time and we get plenty of appointment reminders. Dr. Olson knows his area of expertise and time availability and hasn’t been hesitant to refer out when needed. He has good relationships with specialists, which gives me confidence in care continuity. There does seem to be some staff turnover with dental assistants, but I feel like it is because he holds a high bar for expectations and speaks directly when training staff. If you’re looking for a practice that is meticulous, knowledgeable, and focused on long-term results, this is a great place. If you want in and out and for your dentist to tell you everything looks good until it is too late, probably look elsewhere.
Excellent and thorough dental exam as usual. Would have preferred to not have had such a long surprise presentation on Invisiline. I was left with concerns about the completeness of the cleaning process. I think the hygienist did a very hurried and incomplete job. I'm pretty sure she just worked on the right side of my mouth for the ultrasonic and scraping off the plaque leaving the left side untouched.
My appointment here was quick and painless, I didn't feel a single injection, and any of the fillings that were done. They came out smooth, and didn't affect my bite at all. Dr. Olson is incredibly kind, and checks multiple times throughout the appointment to ensure you're doing alright. The staff here are wonderful, and really put the patient first. I cannot speak of this establishment highly enough!
