About My Family Dental Grosse Pointe
My Family Dental Grosse Pointe sits on Mack Avenue in Grosse Pointe Woods as a general practice built around whole households, from a child's first cleaning to a parent managing a crown or bridge. The service list leans toward everyday, affordable dental care rather than a narrow specialty: routine checkups sit next to root canals and extractions, the mix a practice keeps when it's built for ongoing care, not one-off procedures. That range matters if you'd rather keep one dentist's chart current than juggle referrals for every new problem that comes up.
Cleanings and fillings cover the basics, while crowns and bridges rebuild teeth that are cracked, worn down, or missing -- a bridge anchors a false tooth to the healthy teeth beside the gap, which is the difference between avoiding one side of your mouth and chewing normally again. Gum disease treatment targets inflammation and bone loss before they loosen a tooth, and root canal treatment clears infection from inside a tooth so it can stay instead of coming out. Extractions cover the cases where saving isn't realistic, and emergency dentistry is there for pain that won't wait. Teeth whitening and cosmetic dentistry round out visits about how your smile looks rather than what hurts.
If you're the type who puts off a chipped tooth until it turns into a bigger problem, having crowns, fillings, and emergency dentistry under one roof means the fix and the follow-up happen with people who already have your chart.
Cost depends heavily on what's actually being done -- a cleaning and a crown aren't in the same bracket, and neither are a filling and a root canal, so an estimate specific to your mouth tells you more than any number would in the abstract. Affordable dental care is listed among the services here, which at minimum signals a practice weighing the gap between what's needed and what's payable rather than treating cost as an afterthought. If you're near Grosse Pointe Woods and would rather handle a checkup, a filling, and a kid's cleaning in one place than split your family across three offices, that alone may be worth the visit.
My Family Dental Grosse Pointe in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan offers general and cosmetic dentistry -- cleanings, crowns, bridges, root canals, extractions, and emergency care -- for families looking for affordable, ongoing dental care in one office.

Once again this dental office surpassed my expectations! They have old school customer service, the kind u wish was still ,everywhere. My mom is a patient of Dr. Mike so I was familiar with their care - yet today made my investment for my oral health worthwhile. Dr Matt and D.J. are the dynamic duo ! Patient, kind, and skilled.
Dr. Mike is excellent he’s always so patient, gentle and kind! His staff is also great! They all make you feel so comfortable and treat you like family! I’m so grateful for Dr. Mike and his staff! The office is always so clean and neat! I highly recommend Dr. Mike and his staff! Thank you so much!
Wonderful experience at My Family Dental from the moment I walked in the door until I left. Everyone is so polite, and professional. I did not feel any pain or discomfort when I had a tooth pulled. Thank you Dr. D, you did an excellent job. Thanks to all your staff. I definitely will recommend My Family Dental to my family, and friends.
Everyone here on the team--receptionist, assistant, hygienist, and dentist--are very positive and professional. I'm in the process of having two dental implants, and Dr. Mike and the team have kept me apprised of the process and the need for good dental hygiene and other health practices in the weeks and months between each stage. I am generally seated in the exam room/operatory within minutes of arrival for my scheduled appointments. I highly recommend My Family Dental Grosse Pointe!
I had an appointment today. I get there and they tell me they rescheduled it to next Thursday. Mind you they never called and told me anything was rescheduled. How do they know when I am available? The hygienist was still there saying she about to go🙁
First and last time patient. Despite having Delta Dental, I was charged a massive co-pay as no one in the front office explained to me the difference between a PPO or 'Premier' dentist, or even gave me an option to choose. They just scheduled me with their 'Premier' dentist, and after the service, I was shocked when I saw the bill and my out-of-pocket expenses. The work performed was and fine and dental hygienist was great. But the office manager was rude and that ruins the whole experience. Word of advice: Family Dental, be upfront with new patients, discuss the available PPO/Premier options, be less of a 'money grab,' and teach your office manager customer service skills. Mack Ave. in GPW is lined with dentist offices that would appreciate my business.
Not only was the staff absolutely amazing. I loved how they treat you like family and make sure that you fully understand everything that’s going on. They even gave me a snack for when my blood sugar levels dropped. Dr Mike Daniela made me feel as comfortable as possible, and a smile and laughter goes a long way in my book 10/10 would recommend to anybody that needs dental work or just wants to stop by for a checkup 🫶🏾
I have been going to My Family Dental for many years. Dr Mike and his team do a very good job in making you feel as comfortable as possible. A nice friendly staff. Thanks
This office is being ran by a woman who has ZERO concept of what customer service is. She is RUDE, intolerant, arrogant, and is most likely the reason they have such a big staff turnover… Shes probably ran them out of that place over the last few years I have been going there with my family because of her intolerable attitude. Every single time I have the displeasure of having to speak to this woman (who’s name is Jen) it is as though I am being scolded by my parent for having life happen. We have had to cancel last minute or have forgotten about appointments in the past (because God forbid life happens) and as someone who has worked at well established doctors offices in Grosse Pointe (before starting my family) doing the exact same thing this woman is being paid to do, I would be let go on the spot being an office manager speaking to patients the way she speaks/spoke to me. She is so rude and almost threatening with her “if this happens again this is what’s we are going to do.” Recently (like literally yesterday) life hit us with some hard times, we are expecting our second child, I’m 7 months pregnant, I have a three year old at home and absolutely have a ton on my plate.. we had a scheduled appointment for my husband today at 5:30 and she called at 5:39 and as I answered I profusely apologized over and over for not coming in, I tried to explain to her a little bit of what life’s throwing at us and instead of being even remotely compassionate or empathetic or understanding she gets an attitude, scolds me, tells me if it happens again we cannot schedule those late times because they have such a BIG clientele and they need those spots. I told her this isn’t the first time she has spoken to me this way about rescheduling and that she acts as though being a patient there is some type of privilege and as I’m being threatened to what will happen if this happens again, I asked to speak to a office manager and she said “I’m the manager sweetheart”. She had a snarky, almost laughing at me sarcastic tone when I was trying to explain my frustration to her about the way she speaks to people. She turns very very nasty the moment you tell her “I’m sorry we can’t make it in” so nasty in fact that’s the reason we will be leaving this office. Let me be VERY clear, I completely understand how frustrating and annoying it is to work at any doctors office and have people no show or reschedule at the last minute for an appointment. But that doesn’t give you the right to speak the way she speaks to people about it when life happens to a new family with small children.. I have worked at doctors offices running the front desk/office before I started my family for over 10 years and literally the way she behaves would not be tolerated at all. Today the way she copped an attitude with me and could literally care less when I said we will be finding a different doctors office now because having to deal with her is enough for me to never want to come back to Dr. Mike who my family adores.. So ironic though that when she wants you to reschedule because something comes up at the office she’s so nice and pleasant… Dr. Mike is an amazing, kind, compassionate, and sweet man who seems to genuinely love his patients and his practice and it’s a shame that he has someone like Jen running his office. I hope he thinks about how much your front desk really sets the tone for how the entire establishment is ran, and as someone who has been in her position before, the way she handles having to reschedule someone is unacceptable, degrading, and completely bizarre to me that she has this grandiose complex about the way she speaks to people who spend A LOT of money in that establishment. Think twice about going here because I’m telling you, if you inconvenience Jennifer at all she will go off on you and speak to you like you’re an idiot and you better be remorseful for inconveniencing a dental office….
I went in today with my kids and the staff was amazing with them. It was my 2 year old’s first visit and they made such a positive impact on my whole family. We were all seen today and the kids loved the gift selection. Dr. Mike takes his time to listen to all concerns and make great suggestions. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.
