I cannot stress this enough: do not go to this dental office. What happened to me goes beyond a simple mistake—it shows a level of carelessness and incompetence that is honestly alarming when you’re dealing with something as serious (and expensive) as dental work. A dentist at this office used 10-month-old X-rays to make a referral for a root canal… on a tooth that had already had a root canal just four months ago. That means one of two things happened: she either reviewed the wrong X-rays or failed to ask even the most basic questions about my recent dental history. Either way, that’s unacceptable. Because of this, I was led to believe something was wrong with the wrong tooth. Trusting the “expert,” I moved forward—only to end up getting a root canal on a completely different tooth that likely just needed a filling. Let that sink in. When I called the office to address this, the front desk staff—who are consistently unfriendly—treated me like I was inconveniencing them just by asking questions about my own care. It gets worse. The dentist called me back and initially doubled down, telling me I was wrong and insisting I had never had a root canal on that tooth. I literally had to explain, “I can feel the crown—I had this done over the summer.” Only then did she finally recheck and realize she had been looking at outdated X-rays. Then came the apology. At that point, the damage was already done. Mistakes can happen—but this wasn’t a small oversight. This was a chain of errors, poor communication, and dismissiveness that resulted in unnecessary dental work and significant cost. I personally know four other people who used to go here and have since left—and not because of my experience, but because of their own negative ones. This place has a pattern. You are trusting people with your health, your body, and your money. You deserve better than rushed decisions, outdated information, and a staff that treats you like a burden. Please, go somewhere else.
I had the pleasure of having Steven as my dental hygienist about a week ago, and I can honestly say he exceeded my expectations. Even before my appointment, my coworkers spoke highly of him, and now I understand why. Steven did a great job and was extremely thorough and gentle throughout the entire visit. He took the time to show me the correct way to floss and provided a lot of helpful guidance on how to better care for my teeth at home. His professionalism, patience, and attention to detail really stood out. I also want to recognize Camille, who was incredibly helpful in providing all the paperwork and assistance needed for my insurance claims. She made the process smooth and I got my re-imbursement. Overall, Nassau Street Dental is a great practice with friendly, knowledgeable staff and excellent dentists. The entire team creates a welcoming and professional environment, and my entire family always feel well cared for. I highly recommend them. Keep up the good work Nassau Street Dental.
I recently switched to this office after having to work in Lower Manhattan, and I’m really glad I did. The hygienist, Lady, was fantastic—thorough, friendly, and made the whole experience comfortable. I also had a couple of old cavities filled, and Dr. Hashim did an excellent job. I have no complaints and I’m happy to have found a great dental office close to work.
I highly recommend this place! It was my first time visiting, and the experience was absolutely amazing. The team was incredibly helpful and transparent, making the entire process so smooth. Words can’t fully capture how great they made me feel!
Awesome! Catherine was so patient and helpful with forms, Christina Passaretti your a Rockstar! thank God for you, Dr Hashim and staff I’m recommending this office my church friends n family
The receptionist staff is very rude. They mixed up my appointment. I came to see the dentist Charles Hashim (the appointment was scheduled 6 months ago for today’s date), but instead I was scheduled for a cleaning procedure, which I never requested. Instead of apologizing for this thing they started arguing with me. I left the office very frustrated and without any attempt to see dentist, because do not have any desire to be exposed to the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the receptionist staff. I believe, two receptionists on the picture attached to this post are not qualified to do a simple work such as scheduling appointments and talking to the clients.
It is an ok place but not much service friendly place. Waiting room is equipped with uncomfortable chairs, tv is off, and no free wifi available.
Friendly staff who helped me understand my insurance and offered valuable advice, professional doctors, clean office with xray machines on every room, easy to schedule an appointment. These guys are great!
