About NEO Dental Implants & Oral Surgery
Most people arrive at NEO Dental Implants & Oral Surgery holding a referral rather than a search result. A general dentist finds a molar that cannot be rebuilt, a seventeen-year-old's panoramic X-ray shows four wisdom teeth pressing on the roots in front of them, or a lower denture has finally stopped staying put. Those cases get handed to a surgical office, and that is what this one is: a specialty oral and maxillofacial surgery group staffed by Dr. Dietrich, Dr. Dawlatly and Dr. Nagorka, with a companion office down in Canton. Chair time here is spent on extractions, implant placement, bone grafting and whole-arch rehabilitation on All-on-X, not on cleanings and checkups.
A single implant makes more sense once you picture it as three separate appointments spread across months rather than one procedure. The failing tooth comes out first, and the empty socket is either packed with graft material or left to fill on its own, depending on how much of the bony wall survived the extraction. Months later, once that site has healed solid, a titanium post is threaded into the jaw under local anesthetic or sedation. Bone then grows tight against the metal surface — a process called osseointegration — and that takes roughly three to six months and cannot be hurried along. Only afterwards does a small connector go on top and a crown get made. Full-arch work compresses the calendar by angling four to six posts to catch the densest available bone, which lets a temporary bridge go in the same day, but the definitive prosthesis still waits for healing.
The office sits on White Pond Drive in Wallhaven, on Akron's west side, a short drive from Copley, Fairlawn, Bath and the Montrose corridor and close enough to I-77 to be reasonable from Green or Cuyahoga Falls. Doors open at eight on weekdays and close by mid-afternoon, earlier on Friday, with nothing at weekends — surgery here generally means arranging time away from work and a ride home if you are sedated.
Pricing is genuinely case-dependent. Bone volume, sinus position, whether grafting is required and who fabricates the final crown all move the total, so a written plan after imaging is the only figure worth trusting.
A specialty oral and maxillofacial surgery office in Akron's Wallhaven neighborhood, staffed by Dr. Dietrich, Dr. Dawlatly and Dr. Nagorka, with a sister office in Canton. Work here is surgical rather than routine: impacted wisdom teeth, difficult extractions, bone grafting, single implants and full-arch All-on-X reconstruction. Most patients come by referral from their own dentist, who then restores the crown once the implant has integrated. Weekday hours only, with an early Friday close.
