About New Health Community Centers

Alton Road at 710, South Beach, Miami Beach FL 33139, is the address of the Stanley C. Myers Community Health Center — a social services facility operated by Jewish Family Service of Greater Miami that has historically provided health, mental health, and community support services to vulnerable populations in South Beach, including low-income residents, older adults, immigrants, and individuals experiencing food insecurity. New Health Community Centers, listed at this same address, represents the healthcare services component operating within or through the Stanley C. Myers Center facility at 710 Alton Road.

Note that both this listing (New Health Community Centers, ID 2549) and the companion listing for Stanley C. Myers Center (ID 2593) at 710 Alton Road, South Beach, Miami Beach FL 33139 refer to the same physical address — a dual listing of the community health dental services at this South Beach location, one under the service brand name and one under the facility name.

Community health dental care at a social services campus like the Myers Center serves a fundamentally different population than private dental practices. Patients accessing dental services here may include uninsured individuals, older adults on fixed incomes, immigrants without standard insurance coverage, and individuals who are homeless or in transitional housing situations. Community health dental services at affordable or sliding-scale pricing provide the only realistic pathway to dental care for these patients in the South Beach community.

General dentistry in this context covers the essential preventive and restorative care that reduces pain, treats infection, and maintains the minimum functional oral health that patients in challenging circumstances need: extractions for severely infected teeth, fillings for decay, cleanings, and the diagnostic examination that identifies conditions requiring treatment. Emergency dental capacity — whether formal or informal — is often critical for community health centers serving vulnerable populations with acute dental pain.

For South Beach residents in ZIP 33139 who qualify for community health dental services, New Health Community Centers / the Stanley C. Myers Center at 710 Alton Road provides access to dental care within the broader social services ecosystem of this facility.

Extremely disappointed with the poor technique and unprofessional behavior from Veronica today . The laboratory worker forced me to hold my arm up in the air with absolutely no physical support during my blood draw. Because my arm was hanging in the air, it naturally began to bend. Instead of providing an armrest, she blamed me for the tube not filling up. This wasn't my first time getting blood drawn here, and they were allways great. My first time with Veronica,it was a terrible, stressful experience. Healthcare staff should know how to properly support a patient's arm for a safe and effective draw.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this pharmacy was a very disappointing experience. I waited over 45 minutes for my prescription, only to be told that not all of my medications were ready and that I would have to wait another 45 minutes. What made it even worse is that I had just had a biopsy and was still bleeding. I had no choice but to sit in an extremely cold waiting area because of the air conditioning, surrounded by constant noise, for well over an hour and a half. During that time, I saw several staff members leave for lunch, while very few employees remained to help patients. Better organization and staffing are clearly needed. The prices are excellent, but the waiting time and lack of consideration for patients’ medical condition make this location difficult to recommend.

The worst place to see a doctor. You make an appointment, and then the doctor doesn't see you until two or more hours late. Ridiculous. This place should be shut down. Calling to make an appointment is ridiculous; the automated system tells you it will be ready in a minute, but it's all a lie. It's a communist system they have. They should be ashamed of the sign they have proclaiming themselves number one, but I don't know in what way.

Very poor service. There is no need to arrive at your appointment time because they usually see patients 2 hours or more after the scheduled appointment. The reception staff seem more interested in talking and joking among themselves than helping customers. They are often unable to provide proper assistance or information, which results in a frustrating and unprofessional experience.

I just love this place and they are expanding and I’m really excited about it . With rising prices in healthcare cost per month this place is a lifesaver for me to get premium healthcare at affordable prices, and payment options. I am so grateful for this please. I used to live in the area, but I moved to Fort Lauderdale and I travel all the way here for my healthcare as it’s definitely worth it. Staff is amazing. Doctors are amazing. I even go to the dentist here. I just love it.

This place is RIDICULOUS. Grabbed a doctor's note from them and I just needed the doctors signature. One of the ladies in the front desk was rude because she told me to wait for a little bit that the doctor is busy. I simply asked her how long because it's just a signature from the doctors note THEY GAVE ME. A signature required less than a minute. When she called me to retrieve the paper, I simply grabbed it and walked away. She yells at "YOU WELCOME" as if she wanted my attention to say thank you after the was rude saying "MA'AM JUST HAVE A SEAT IM JUST TELLING YOU WHAT THE NURSETOLD ME. (CLEARLY I KNEW SHE MEANT THE DR.) IT WAS THE MANNERIM OF HOW SHE SAID IT. SO NO, SHE DID NOT DESERVE A THANK YOU FROM ME.
