Nicholas Cosmetic Dental Center: Dr. Shireen B. Malik -

Scammy behavior, do your due diligence when booking an appointment here. I booked an appointment through zocdoc to get an annual cleaning. My insurance plan (Guardian) was accepted over the app. I walked into my appointment and spoke with the receptionist and was then told that my insurance was accepted and that the cleaning would be fully covered. I did not pay anything. Fast forward 4 months, and I’m scheduled to have some cavities filled at the same dentist. They inform me that I owe $188 on top of 400$ to fill 2 cavities. The $188 was from a balance after my first visit that wasnt covered by insurance. I leave without receiving healthcare confused. I call my insurance provider and they say that this dentist wasn’t in my network, hence why the visit wasn’t fully covered. This dentist’s office will lie to your face to try and take more of your money, do not trust them.

Dr. Malik is undoubtedly the best Doctor I have been to. She has been my treating doctor for almost 8years now. From the first visit till date she always takes her time to explain the entire process & helps calm your dental anxieties before the procedure. Her knowledge and experience is what makes her the best. Tinkerbell is the best part of the clinic she gives everyone a rush of joy & energy. The clinic space is very clean & hygiene is her main concern. Any dental issues I totally recommend her.

My long time dentist didnt take my new insurance so had to search for a new family dentist. A friend who went to NYU dental school recommended her school friend, Dr. Malik. I went in for cleaning and to consult to close the gap on my front top teeth. Dr, Malik recommended me to to get Invisalign since I didn’t want to get braces again. I wasn’t sure how they would be effective in such a short time, but to my surprise it was a quick few months (not 2 yrs of painful braces) and my teeth are back in line. On my last visit I took my 6 yr old also for his cleaning and check up… my 6 yr doesn’t like to sit still and to my surprise Dr Malik handled the little monster quite effectively. My wife will be going next now. :). Dr Malik is a no nonsense, very professional dentist and I am glad we found her. I was impressed by the office set up and her friendly and courteous staff. Highly recommend her!
