About Nicolas Bebeau MD, DDS, FACS

Nicolas Bebeau MD, DDS, FACS provides dental care on North Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, Arizona. Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. No. Wisdom teeth that come through cleanly, in a good position, and can be kept clean are often left alone. Removal is generally advised when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front.
Why do wisdom teeth cause problems?

Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and cleaning between the teeth daily covers most of it. Limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount consumed.

Exceptional! Highly professional oral surgeon with an amazing team. My Mom had a wisdom tooth removal on one side and another tooth removed on the other side, with bone grafting. Both procedures went flawlessly, even though my Mom has back and neck issues. Dr. Bebeau and his team accommodated my Mom's needs, and she didn't have pain in her back or neck after both procedures. The after care visits made her feel very well taken care of and assured that the healing goes properly. You can trust that Dr. Bebeau will do a great job!

My son was referred here from his orthodontist. Everything went great. Think it was an exposure procedure to pull a tooth down with a bracket

I will keep my review succinct. Everything about Dr. Bebeau's practice reflects enormous attention to detail and the highest possible quality of care. I would feel completely comfortable trusting the care of my loved ones to Dr. Bebeau and his fine staff. This is a world-class first rate oral surgery practice.

Had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled and was dreading the whole process. Dr. Bebeau was amazing at walking through the process during consultation and on removal day, the entire staff was first class. No dry sockets or pain killers needed and was eating fairly normal 3-4 days post-op. Had a minor hiccup about a week after op with swelling and Dr. Bebeau was so helpful and considerate, texting/calling to check in and running quarterback on the situation like a hall of famer. 10/10 would recommend!

43 years after root canal & crown with a second root canal repair along the way I developed an abscess that blew up fast. Must have finally cracked the old molar under the crown. My superb dentist Christopher Vitagliano AND my very fine endodontist Paul Kogan both highly recommended Dr Bebeau. Met him Monday & surgery yesterday. Allow me to say that both he & his entire staff are the very most considerate, kind & attentive team you could ever want or need. I’ve had a ton of oral surgeries, root canals, implants, crowns & 4 wisdom teeth extractions. I grew up in a surgical household & I’ve known or met literally scores of real deal surgeons. You may find a gifted MD oral surgeon BUT, you’ll absolutely never ever find one better! BTW: his fees are quite reasonable for the superb work he does. On a scale of 1 to 10 he’s a 12, love the guy!

I cracked a tooth in half and Dr Bebeau’s office happened to have an opening the next day, and was able to do my surgery later that week. His staff is remarkable. Everyone was warm, empathetic, knowledgeable, and appeared to love their job. Dr. Bebeau was delightful, professional, and left me feeling confident that I was in the right place. Their follow-ups, whether calls checking in or on visits back to their office, have left me feeling extremely well-cared for. I am an eye doctor in private practice and I know how much work it takes to make things look easy. Dr Bebeau and his first class staff have mastered that skill. While I hope to never need their services again, theirs would be the first and ONLY call I’d make if the need arose again. They are getting five stars only because I can’t give them six!

Dr. Bebeau was very highly recommended by my regular dentist and their team, when I was told I needed to have a tooth extracted. He exceeded all my expectations. I had absolutely no pain. His office team is also very professional and friendly, and to that I’d like to add it was such a positive experience, imagine having a tooth pulled and not having one moment of pain. I have full confidence in Dr. Bebeau and his staff. Thank you so much to all of them and I would recommend them extremely highly!
