About North Coors Dental
North Coors Dental is a general dentistry practice situated at 3740 Coors Blvd NW, Suite A, in the Westside area of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The practice is positioned along the Coors Blvd corridor, one of the main commercial and residential thoroughfares on Albuquerque’s west side, serving patients in the 87120 zip code and surrounding communities.
General dentistry at North Coors Dental covers the core services most patients need to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Routine examinations and professional cleanings form the basis of a preventive care schedule, typically recommended twice per year for most adults. These visits allow the provider to identify early signs of decay, gum disease, or structural changes that warrant further attention.
Beyond preventive care, a general dentistry practice handles common restorative needs such as fillings for cavities, treatment of minor gum concerns, and evaluation of existing dental work. When more specialized treatment is required — such as orthodontics, endodontics, or oral surgery — patients are generally referred to the appropriate specialist. The practice maintains regular hours, making it accessible for scheduled appointments throughout the week.
Dental X-rays taken at appropriate intervals are an important part of a comprehensive exam, allowing the dentist to detect decay between teeth, monitor bone levels, and assess changes in tooth roots that are not visible during a clinical examination alone. Patients who have not had X-rays recently should plan for them at an initial comprehensive visit.
North Coors Dental sits in a convenient location along Coors Blvd NW, near retail centers and residential communities including Ventana Ranch, Paradise Hills, and the West Gate area. The surrounding area has ample parking, typical of the strip-center commercial format common to Westside Albuquerque.
Patients new to the practice should request a written outline of recommended work and associated costs before agreeing to begin any treatment course. To schedule an appointment, use the contact information provided on this page.
Patients who have not visited a dentist in more than two years should expect a more thorough initial appointment that may include a full series of X-rays in addition to the clinical exam. A longer gap between dental visits increases the likelihood that multiple areas of concern will need to be addressed. The dentist will prioritize findings and develop a practical sequence for any needed treatment.

My dentist, Dr. Leeper, sadly left the practice. She was amazing, my favorite dentist I've ever had in all my almost-five decades of life. But I am sure my new one will be just as great! The hygienist at my most recent cleaning was also great!! Funny and sweet, and did a wonderful job. Can't go wrong with this place!
Martha is the best.
Melissa did an exceptional teeth cleaning job on my entire mouth. She was very thorough and explained every step in detail. She pointed out in detail areas that needed any additional brushing or floshing. She was personally PROFESSIONAL in every respect!!!
My partner came to your office a few years ago, at which time he was told that he had nerve damage involving one of his molars. Unfortunately, due to the financial and family circumstances we were facing at the time, he was not in a position to pursue the recommended care and the issue was left untreated. Recently, he returned to your office because the pain had become increasingly severe. During that visit, he found nail clippings on the floor in the lobby and brought it to the attention of the front desk. He did so because he genuinely thought it would be helpful to make the staff aware of it. The response he received was defensive. He was told that the office had a cleaning service and that it was not the front desk employee’s responsibility. Following that interaction, the demeanor of the staff toward him noticeably changed. It appeared that the interaction had been communicated to other members of the office, and the dental hygienist who attended to him was visibly upset and spoke to him in a manner that felt condescending and dismissive. We are adults in our mid 30s, parents of young children, business owners and we came to your office expecting to be treated with basic respect and dignity. More importantly, my partner is in a significant amount of pain. He has been experiencing severe, ongoing dental pain and regularly complains about it at home. During this visit, X-rays were taken, and we were told that nothing was found. That is extremely concerning given that he was previously told by this same office that he had nerve damage involving a molar. We paid a significant amount of money because we were seeking professional help for a problem that has been affecting our family for a long time. We have young children, and part of the reason this treatment was delayed was because we were trying to manage the needs and financial responsibilities of our family. It is incredibly upsetting to finally make the effort to address this problem, only to leave feeling dismissed and without an explanation for the severe pain he is experiencing. I have worked in healthcare as an EMT, so I understand that healthcare professionals often interact with people who are in pain, frustrated, or difficult to deal with. I also understand that healthcare workers have to maintain professionalism regardless of a patient’s demeanor. That is why I find this experience particularly disappointing. This did not feel like a situation involving a difficult patient. My partner is one of the kindest people I know, and his comment about the nail clippings was made with the intention of being helpful. What happened felt less like a healthcare interaction and more like an office allowing a minor criticism to become personal. A simple comment about something that could have been picked up from the lobby should never have resulted in a patient feeling as though the entire office had turned against him. We will not be returning to your office. At this point, you may keep the money we have already paid, but we will be obtaining his X-rays and seeking a second opinion elsewhere. I am also requesting a complete copy of his dental records and X-rays so that another dentist can properly evaluate his condition. If another dental professional determines that there is a significant discrepancy between the findings at this visit and the diagnosis he was previously given, we will consider what further steps are appropriate, including seeking legal advice. I sincerely hope your office takes this experience as an opportunity to examine how patients are treated when they raise a concern. Dental patients are often already dealing with fear, pain, and financial stress. They deserve compassion, professionalism, and the benefit of the doubt. I hope your office can find its humanity again, because healthcare should never become so focused on defending itself that it forgets the person sitting in the chair.
This dental office is awesome. Dr. Gallegos is so good at his job.
First time patient. I don’t have dental insurance and they were very accommodating to provide resources that offer discounts. They gave me a treatment Plan to let me choose what I wanted and when. Helpful and clean very professional. I look forward to establishing a relationship here.
Went back to complete the work needed done and I was extremely nervous. Lana and Dr Long were exceptionally wonderful and made sure that my needs were met. The patience and Kindness is unmatched! Definitely such quality care here. Highly recommend. I have a list of work to be done but I don't fear because I know I'm in good hands. Can't express enough how different the care at this dental office is!
After 15 years of going to this dentist office, they cancelled a second appointment of mine without calling. They refused to try and fit me to the schedule and was told my July 14, 2026 appointment could be rescheduled in November. The front administrative manager - Jennifer- refused to handle the situation in a professional manner. The dentist and hygienist are good people, but if you want to be treated with any respect or have your appointments kept, choose somewhere besides North Coors Dental. Edited to include: Their response below is auto generated. They do not care to make their mistake right.
Timely and very professional
I had a great experience with the higiest.
