About Northwest Valley Oral Maxillofacial & Facial Cosmetic Surgery
Northwest Valley Oral Maxillofacial & Facial Cosmetic Surgery provides dental care on West Bell Road in the Surprise Professional Office Park Condominium area of Surprise, Arizona. Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.
Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.
Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.
Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment. Incredible experience from start to finish. Dr Harrelson was kind, quick and efficient !! From numbing to tooth removed was less than 10 minutes and absolutely painless! The team from front desk to dental assistant and DR were so kind! Such a great office. Thank you very much!!
Best Dental experience I've ever had. Almost no pain with 2 extractions. Overall pleasant experience. And compared to others, price is reasonable. Couldn't be happier.
Great experience, staff was great and so was Dr. Hammond.
Was referred by west bell dental and scheduled an appt 1 month or more prior. Start to finish there is zero communication. The referral was lost, although ins and referral was sent to this ofc and somehow they didn't have anything on hand. They called me twice to confirm the appt and somehow missed the insurance and verifying it because the day of my appt I am overhearing the front desk staff calling to confirm my ins info. They asked me to check in by 12:15p as we were new pts and then come to find out my apt was at 1p. Nothing was organized nor was there any communication about medical insurance or the referral form. I am currently waiting with forms lost by the ofc and now waiting for the referral they lost to be faxed to them again. My suggestion is keep looking for another office, as this has been a waste of time so far.
Wonderful surgeon and amazing front and back office staff. Dr Bradley Hammond most be treating his staff great. Here's to the best experience ever..
Got two wisdom teeth extracted with numbing. It was hands down the best dental experience l've ever had.Couldn't feel anything and the dr was great. The moment they started the extraction to when they had both teeth out was not even 5 mins. No pain at all. They were wonderful at explaining everything and only paid $100. Absolutely amazing.
I had to most wonderful experience that I have ever had having a dental procedure. I was so nervous when I was told by my dentist that I had to go to an oral surgeon to get not 1 but 2 of my wisdom teeth removed 😬 But Mr. Hammond and his staff put all my fears to rest. Dr. Hammond is so kind and patient. He explained everything to me before he started. And he made sure that I wasn't in any pain. Especially considering that I was awake during the procedure. I will go back to him without any hesitation or fears if I needed to have anymore teeth removed in the future. Thank you Dr. Bradley Hammond you are truly gifted. God bless 🙏🏽🫂😊
Dr. Hammond and his staff are absolutely wonderful! I have severe dental anxiety and they helped me feel as at ease as possible while getting an extraction and implant done. I received a thorough exam and was provided with different options on my case with no pressure to pick a certain one, just the pros and cons of each. Highly recommended for oral surgery.
