About O2 Dental Group of Fayetteville
Based on Skibo Road in the Westover area of Fayetteville, North Carolina, O2 Dental Group of Fayetteville is a dental practice serving the area. General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.
Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.
Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.
Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.
Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.
Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent. My visit today with Ms. Tywana, RDH was nothing short of AMAZING!! Even though it was a routine cleaning she was welcoming, positive, and calming. I was educated and her vibe was just GREAT! That's exactly what I needed to start my day. Great atmosphere and positive uplifting energy! I can't wait for my next appt. I may just pop in to say hello! Not to mention when I left my teeth were shining. I was smiling at everyone! Thank you Ms Tywana, RDH for giving me a wonderful blessed experience this morning!

I absolutely love the exceptional customer service and commitment to customer satisfaction. The staff here are professional, attentive, and responsive. I appreciate Mrs. Sandra going above and beyond to address my concerns promptly and effectively with no hesitation. Her ability to listen, communicate clearly, and resolve my issues with care created a positive experience and left me feeling valued and appreciated. Thank you!
I couldn’t be happier with my experience here. After months of careful work to restore my smile with a dental bridge, the whole team made what could have been a stressful process feel calm and reassuring. The dentist took the time to explain every step, showed genuine care for my comfort, and always treated me with professional courtesy. Each appointment was organized and efficient, yet never rushed — I always felt heard and respected. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They checked in on how I was doing during visits, answered my questions with patience, and followed up afterward to make sure I was recovering well. The final result is beautiful and natural-looking; friends and family keep commenting on how great my smile looks. If you’re considering restorative work, I highly recommend this practice — skilled care, thoughtful communication, and a welcoming team make all the difference. Coming from a real person in need of smiling to complete her day. 😁 Promise you won’t be disappointed with Dr. Tatiana Novas! Bless this individual, everyday. Outstanding! ❤️
On 11May2026, my five-year-old daughter had an appointment for a crown and a filling on the upper left quadrant of her mouth. We were shown to the procedure room by dental assistant Jackie, with whom we have worked previously. She assisted us without any issues and helped put my daughter at ease for the procedure. Dr. Carlos Garcia, the dentist, entered the room and began to handle the instruments on the operating tray with his bare hands, without wearing sterilization gloves. As a mother, it finally occurred to me as he was leaving the room that I should question Jackie about whether gloves should be worn and whether the instruments should be touched before the procedure in my child’s mouth. Jackie mumbled something in response, so I asked her to repeat what she said since I hadn’t heard it clearly. Rather than repeating, she proceeded to inspect the instruments one by one and asked me to identify which tools Dr. Garcia had touched without gloves. I replied, asking why we weren’t replacing the entire tray. Jackie then removed the entire tray from the room and stated that she had replaced the instruments on the tray. Dr. Garcia re-entered the room and asked how my Mother’s Day had gone. I told him I didn’t feel I could communicate calmly at that moment and preferred not to share at that time. He proceeded to begin the procedure, having administered nitrous oxide, and then injected anesthesia into my daughter’s gums. After administering the anesthesia, he did not verify whether the numbing had taken effect by examining the gum tissue before starting the procedure. After the procedure, dental assistant Jackie escorted my daughter and me back to the lobby. She repeatedly apologized for Dr. Carlos Garcia’s actions. As a parent, I requested my daughter’s notes, but I was given only the billing history. I called the next day to request my daughter’s dental notes(Dino notes), and I was told that it was a sensitive matter that required permission to release. It was approved. I have never had an issue with this establishment before this dentist began practicing here. The front desk receptionist and the other dental assistants have always been incredibly supportive of me and my daughter. At this point, I have found a new dentist, and I have reported this incident to the health department as well as to upper management. If you choose to go here, at least be in the room with your child. You are your child’s advocate.
My experience here was absolutely disgusting. My children were only seen at this office one time. Before that appointment, I was told they would already have my daughter’s X-rays transferred from her previous dentist. When we arrived for the appointment, they still did not have them. Instead, they had me fill out another release form to request the X-rays, even though they were supposedly already being sent prior to the appointment. At that visit, they only did a light cleaning and told me the X-rays should arrive within about a week. I was assured they would call me as soon as they came in so we could continue my daughter’s dental work. That call never came. Eight months later, I called myself asking if we would ever be able to continue my daughter’s treatment. I was then told they STILL did not have the X-rays and that she would now need completely new ones done. The only appointment available for both of my children at the same time was two months out, so I accepted it. I never received a text, email, or reminder, and unfortunately I forgot the appointment was scheduled on my daughter’s birthday. As a single mother, a dentist appointment scheduled months prior honestly was not on my mind that day. I missed it. I called back to reschedule and the only opening they had was the very next day, with nothing else available for months, so I took it. I ended up missing that appointment as well, but I DID call and notify them that I had overlooked the time and would not make it in time. After that, I received a letter stating they no longer wanted to see my children as patients. So for months, this office failed to follow up with me, failed to obtain records they claimed they requested, and never contacted me to continue my daughter’s treatment. Yet as a single parent, I was not allowed to make a mistake or miss appointments without my children being dismissed entirely. I called apologizing because I’m human and humans make mistakes. I was told I would receive another call with an update on whether my daughters could still be scheduled. That was over a week ago. Again, no call, no email, no follow-up. Now when I call, the only recommendation they can give me is to find another dentist. Apparently it’s acceptable for this office to repeatedly lack communication and fail to follow through, but parents are not allowed any grace whatsoever. Terrible experience overall. Granite this is the second time I’ve posted this. I still haven’t received a call but they had time to review MY EXPERIENCE and delete it off of their reviews
I cannot find words adequate enough to describe how grateful I am for the professional, compassionate, and excellent care I received from the very first moment I was welcomed at the front desk—from the assistant all the way to Dr. Nova herself. They made me feel more than welcome; they always spoke to me with absolute clarity right from the start, providing me with options for appropriate treatment. The entire clinic staff was incredibly pleasant and highly professional at the same time—not to mention that everything was very affordable and reasonably priced. I definitely hadn't found anything like this in this town until now. I recommend this clinic to anyone—individuals or families—who wants to feel not only satisfied with the service but also eager to return.
