About Oak Park Prosthodontics

Oak Park Prosthodontics operates on West North Avenue in Elmwood Park, Illinois. Dentures replace some or all of the natural teeth in a jaw with a removable appliance, custom-fitted to the mouth. A full denture replaces every tooth; a partial fills gaps where some natural teeth remain. Because the jaw bone reshapes over time, dentures typically need adjusting or remaking periodically.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Oak Park Prosthodontics located in Elmwood Park?
Oak Park Prosthodontics is on West North Avenue in Elmwood Park, Illinois (60707).
What days is Oak Park Prosthodontics open?
Oak Park Prosthodontics is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Oak Park Prosthodontics offer?
Listed services at Oak Park Prosthodontics include Dentures. The full list is shown on this page.
Do dentures need to be replaced?
Yes, over time. The jaw bone gradually changes shape after teeth are lost, so a denture that fitted well originally becomes loose and needs relining or remaking to fit properly again.
What is the difference between full and partial dentures?
A full denture replaces all the teeth in a jaw, while a partial fills the gaps where some natural teeth remain and clips onto them for support. Which applies depends simply on how many teeth are left and their condition.
What happens during a routine dental examination?
The dentist checks the teeth for decay, examines the gums, looks at any existing fillings and crowns, and screens the soft tissues. X-rays are taken when there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth.

One of the best decisions I ever made was going to see Dr. Fabricius. She placed three implants in my upper jaw, and the entire insertion process and recovery were surprisingly painless. She also added caps so my gums never grew over the implants, which made the next steps much easier. Yesterday, Dr. Fabricius installed the implant crowns. The procedure was uncomfortable, but very tolerable. I now have three more teeth and can finally chew effectively again. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Fabricius was compassionate, kind, and incredibly caring. She supported me every step of the way with grace and patience. I always felt heard and truly cared for, and she answered every single question thoroughly, even the silly ones. I would highly recommend Dr. Fabricius for any dental implant procedures. It will be one of the best decisions you make too!

Best doctor ever!!!!! All of my teeth were horrible so I received a referral to Dr. Ann I was very nervous and embarrassed to call because my teeth were so bad, I spoke with Jessica and she was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient I came in for a consultation and everyone in the office were the same way. I had all of my teeth redone with crowns, veneers, and root canals it was a very long process but now my smile is AMAZING!!!!! I couldn’t be happier! Dr. Ann is so meticulous and does everything to perfection! I couldn’t be happier!!!!!!

This office is fantastic. Had broken a tooth in half on a nut and they were able to get me in the next day. Dr Tsai was professional, explained the process, and performed a temporary crown without any pain. She was calm, explained the procedure and took the time to trim down the temporary crown for the most comfort. Rocio was dental assistant who always checked in with me and made sure I was comfortable, she prepared all the medical equipment for the doctor so the entire procedure went smoothly. Jessica, the office manager was pleasant and caring during my intake and even called my insurance to see if there are any benefits. Prices are very fair for an Oak Park Prosthodontics office. I will be recommending them to everyone for their professional demeanor, their communication and elite skills. Thank you for taking me out of pain!!
