I have been a patient at this dental clinic since 1983 and continue to be pleased with the service. I receive friendly and excellent care while I enjoy a lovely view out the window.

Just had my first appointment at Oakwell Dental. They were fantastic! Got me in quickly, hygenist was wonderful, and Dr. Nillissen was thorough and so helpful and kind. Highly recommend!

Upfront Staff is pleasant to work with. Not the case in many doctor’s offices. Dentist Olivia Nillissen provides you with detailed items that need work and why. Olivia distinguishes between what is critical and what is optional. Great Hygienist.

Coree was amazing as an orthodontic dental assistant! She was professional, friendly, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. She explained everything clearly, stayed organized, and worked efficiently while still being gentle and patient. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and takes pride in her work. The whole experience felt smooth and welcoming because of her positive attitude and attention to detail. I would definitely recommend asking for Coree if you want someone who is kind, knowledgeable, and great at what they do.

I had an old filling come out (done by another dentist) and the team was so amazing to fit me in to get it repaired. They even were able to get my overdue cleaning done due to a last minute cancellation. The dentist was so great and explained a few other things to me that she saw. Did a thorough assessment for my overall dental health. And my hygienist was so amazing! Overall the team was great!

Oakwell Dental Care consistently provides a positive and caring experience for my family and me. The entire team is welcoming, professional, and truly cares about their patients. Dr. Olivia Nillissen even took the time to personally call me to go over my daughter’s care plan, which helped us make decisions that saved both time and money. That level of care and communication means a lot. Estella is an incredible asset to Oakwell Dental Care and honestly the reason I continued coming back even after we moved farther away from the clinic. Her kindness and dedication make a lasting impression. Alexis is always the first person I see when I walk in, and she greets everyone with such a friendly smile that it immediately makes you feel comfortable. And Donna, the dental hygienist, is the best I’ve ever had work on my teeth — thorough, gentle, and extremely knowledgeable. Because of this amazing team, I always recommend Oakwell Dental Care to my friends and family. They truly go above and beyond for their patients.

Loyal customer of over 30 years including pervious generations of my family. 2 Hours prior to my appointment I was called, and my appointment canceled. When I called back to inquire of the discrepancy I was met with an attitude and abnormally loud/long sigh as if I was an inconvenience. On this day, this dental office has lost it's "warm heart" energy that myself and family have come to love and appreciate over the years. It is my opinion this is due to the front office staff and not the Doctors. I thank the Doctors at Oakwell Dental for generations of peerless service, however I will no longer justify such a long drive for myself and family anymore based on loyalty alone.

Oh my goodness, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Oakwell Dental Care. This office is absolutely incredible, and I am SO grateful that I had friends refer me to this San Antonio dental practice! :-) I recently visited them for a new patient consultation + comprehensive exam, and I had the best experience here. First, I have to say that my new dentist, Dr. Olivia Nillissen, is absolutely fantastic. She really took the time to ask me what my concerns were, do a comprehensive exam, and complete lots of education with me regarding what she was seeing. Also, she has the most positive attitude, and is so lovely to interact with!! Further, my dental hygienist, Desiree, was so, so kind & so thorough!! She also took so much time with me, making sure my XRs were done comfortably + quickly, and making sure the cost wouldn't be super crazy (since my previous dentist had sent limited records over before my visit). She took even more time to educate me on the flow of the visit, and expectations for possible payment (which was so helpful)!! Last (but not least), Alexis at the front desk is the BEST - she is so communicative and accommodating. This office is so great - I highly recommend this dental practice!!

Everyone is so nice! I haven't had a good experience at the dentist for a long time but I definitely did here. They're all very caring. Highly recommend.
