Dr. Funik and her staff were able to help me through an emergency dental repair. The thoughtfulness of both the office team and the therapeutic staff was very appreciated. I was quite nervous, but from the moment I walked in, the soothing atmosphere and the kind women who assisted me made me feel like I was going to receive great care and I was not disappointed. Dr. Funik has the rare combination of being both adept and warm. I was immediately put at ease by her conscientious manner. She provided options and explained every aspect of the treatment and the considerations I should be aware of. It made sense to find out that she is a Diplomate in her field, I highly recommend Dr. Funik. Especially if you are someone who needs a dental appointment where the doctor and staff will help you to relax or if you just want to be treated well, this is the place to go.

When i was make a trip a and was passing through Colorado Springs, Dr Funtik was able to work me into her schedule and made all of my dental repairs in a day with her usual exceptional results. I was recently referred to Dr. Funtik's office by another dentist who felt she would be a better fit for my needs. As a first-time patient, I was warmly greeted and noted how beautifully appointed the office was. After years of receiving dental care from students at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine (which I HIGHLY recommend) in Denver, I'm grateful to have found my new dentist in Colorado Springs, Dr. Funtik. She had the softest touch during the exam and gave me the gentlest cleaning I've probably ever had, which was a pleasant surprise. Based on my recent experience, I would highly recommend Dr. Funtik!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Funtik for TMJ/D and migraines, and Botox has made a huge difference. She explained everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The injections were quick and almost painless—within days, my jaw felt better, my migraines were gone, and I finally felt some relief. The staff is awesome too—super kind, professional, and they really care. I definitely recommend this office for anyone dealing with TMJ or chronic headaches!

So I put in a great deal of time, and delayed the removal of a badly damaged tooth because Dr Funtik talked me out of a full denture and into another partial. It sounded great. She felt the partial would be possible and that she could do a better job than the previous practice had done even with the removal of the additional tooth. She told me she wanted me to be active in the choice of color, tooth size, etc. I don't think fast on my feet, so I realized after leaving the office that the color she chose was too dark -- she was matching my teeth when they were not polished. I called and left a message right away about a lighter color being needed, but they went ahead and ordered teeth anyway. I agreed to pay the $25 restocking fee. I spent a few days with a whitening toothpaste, and, sure enough, a lighter shade was the right shade. Then came the teeth shape. Dr. Funtik chose a beautiful tooth shape -- rather rounded. If I were getting complete dentures and not a partial, that shape would have been fine. When in the office I only looked at the board with the sample teeth on it. Realizing this, I returned to the office and looked at the board of teeth next to my teeth -- my teeth are flatter (worn with age), and the rounder tooth shape did not match. It was, just like the color, just one, possible two, degrees of flatness off. The teeth had not been ordered, so it would not have been a big deal to change. I would be spending approximately $3,000 on this partial, so I wanted to get it right. Dr. Funtik was angry that I was making that change and told me she wasn't going to make my partial. So, I've wasted weeks of time, delayed the extraction, and now have to begin again elsewhere. I want to warn others to not waste their time trying to get a dental appliance from this practice. They've put me in a very bad spot when I simply tried to work with them to get the best result for the money I was spending.

Update: Wow! So incredibly grateful for Dr. Funtik and the team here. I had some diagnostic support for a problem with my two front teeth following an accident and she was able to help remedy the problem within just a few minutes without having to endure more strenuous work. She is honest, thoughtful and really wants to ensure she’s doing what’s best for her patients versus just diving right in without fully discussing it first and then charging them for it. I appreciate her willingness to start more gradually on a treatment than going straight to replacement of my teeth. I am beyond relieved to have found a solution that I know is helping me. I cannot thank her enough. Original Review: I was just referred to Dr Funtik from (my regular dentist) for some help with dental trauma I’ve been dealing with for the past year. In five minutes she was able to quickly assess the problem I’ve been dealing with and make a suggestion that I am confident is going to fix the problem. For the first time in a year it feels like someone understands what I’m experiencing and has a solid plan to help me. She was very friendly and professional while making me feel at ease. I look forward to my dentist getting her feedback and plan of action. She is a true expert in her field.
