BEWARE-BEWARE-BEWARE For 20 years we were Blessed @ Oceanview Family Dentistry by Dr. James Rosell, DDS. Mary and the hygienist also represented the practice with the same integrity Rosell was known and led with. We seen him off to retirement. Before Rosell, Randal Smith (Pier View Way), provided 10 years of sterling dental services- we seen him off to retire. We took a "Chance" extending our family member's: trust, loyalty, time & money too the new owner of Oceanview Family Dentistry, McEvoy, hoping he would provide Consistent standardized dental services. When first meeting Mr McEvoy, I offered, "we are loyal customers". I restated this fact @ a later date. But during many recent appointments, we were subjected to: EYE OPENING, JAW DROPPING, AGONIZING dental services. Sub- par services Not believed supported by the ADA- opposite of Standardized Dental Practices. FAILED ROUTINE CLEANING: laying in dental chair, while fluoride was being applied by his self proclaimed veteran hygienist, she communicated "I am cleaning your teeth in Reverse Order"! I called McEvoy, expressing Concerns & Distress of "over 100 prior routine cleanings by: James Rosell DDS, Randall Smith DDS, Naval Dentists (U.S.M.C. Vet), NEVER having any dentist Clean in "REVERSE ORDER" of ADA standards by: 1st applying fluoride, then polish, then remove tartar (cleaning)- Except for your practice"! McEvoy did Not Defend his "practice". But he did Not apologize. But he kept his "veteran hygienist". Mistakenly, we continued to support his "practice". McEvoy's FAILED GOLD CROWN WORK: Day of seating, Cindy, a tenured- True Professional hygienist communicated the process to unfold in chronological order. After Cindy set the Crown temporarily, "to check the fit", she pulled the crown- she went to speak with McEvoy. Cindy divulged "findings of the Poor Fit" to McEvoy. McEvoy entered, Never asked about the Crown's fit! He immediately cemented the crown- and scurried off! He returned to floss. But at no time during the Crown Seating did McEvoy: ask me about the fit/feel, use a tool to probe the margins, make comment/s about the margin/s, offer a mirror for me to see my crown or take a picture/s of his crown work. After cementing a bad crown McEvoy said "your family are nice people". Then McEvoy blindside me with Extra Gold Fee of $82- Blaming "the lab". But the Itemized Quote, which I agreed to and Paid in Full, (Receipt), Included Lab Fee of $300.00 for a Gold Crown. The price of Gold Dropped: before, during & since I Paid the Agreed Price! Near $1,000.00 for Gold Crown did not satisfy his greed. I confronted McEvoy for causing my Health to Suffer. McEvoy's line of defense was Expected- he LIED. Using Truth, I tried to motivate him to provide Standardized Results- he Refused! Dodging Truth, McEvoy spent 5 minutes Denying to see his Shoddy Crown work, Pretending to "not know what I am saying". Then he spent the next 10 minutes Sanding my Gold- Sanding My Teeth- Sanding My Gums- he Burnt my Gums! Unprofessional, (nervous), he did Not secure Sanding head- it separated from handset- Striking Upper Teeth- head dropped in my mouth, felt like Teeth Chipped, I sat up to find a chunk of hard rubber that broke from the tool head- when it hit my teeth- then popping out my mouth. But his Failed Crown work was done & documented before I walked in to confront him. The only honest thing he said "why did they overbuild it, i don't understand, maybe for strength- there is a lot that goes into this"! McEvoy Refused to replace the "Oversized Crown". Cindy never defended him. I Thanked Cindy. McEvoy was Paid to provide a Gold Crown that meets Dental Standards- a Standard Fit. But McEvoy provided not just any Failed Crown, he set a crown that offers Large Food Traps Promoting Decay on 2 sides of tooth. I brought 6 family members to McEvory's "practice"- he never cared. Rosell Never mistreated Clients. Look Across the Hall @ suite 105- Surfside Dental Or PROPER 32 in O'Side- they Work!- they do Honest Work! Do Not chance Your Health!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dr. Benjamin and the entire team at Ocean View Family Dentistry are Exceptional! From the moment I walked in, everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Dr. Benjamin took the time to explain everything and made me and my young son feel completely comfortable throughout our visit. The level of professionalism, kindness, and quality of care is outstanding. It's clear the entire staff truly cares about their patients. I highly recommend Ocean View Family Dentist to anyone looking for excellent dental care and an amazing patient experience!

This is a well run office. The doctor seems to treat conservatively (a good thing in my opinion). Everyone is friendly and nice. I don’t like going to the dentist but they make it as pleasant as possible!

All of the staff at Oceanview Family Dentistry is kind, friendly and warm. Dr. Ben is very thorough and takes his time in explaining his recommendations. Britney at the front is incredibly efficient and super sweet. Cindy is very kind and welcoming as well. I’m so grateful to have been referred to this dental office!

As someone who has historically hated going to the dentist, I had a lot of deferred dental work but Dr McEvoy and his staff were amazingly kind but more importantly were efficient and skilled. Leaving the dentist office in the past meant feeling worse than I came but not here. I left feeling great and the cost for all the work they had to do was much less than I anticipated. They did a great job

Ben is the man! I’m terrified of going to the Dentist, but he made me feel safe and he got the job done quicker than I thought. Everyone one there is nice! They told me in detail how help feel more comfortable. And I really recommend them if you need your teeth done. 🤙

I cannot say enough of how wonderful Dr. McEvoy and his staff at Oceanview Family Dentistry are! Dr. Benjamin McEvoy is simply the best! He has renewed my faith in dentists! Every interaction from the front desk and the dental assistant and the dentist was warm, personal and put me at ease. Very nice, very thorough and professional staff delivered top quality care to both myself and my wife. We just moved to Oceanside and finding a good Dental team was high on our List of needs. Problem solved thanks to Dr. Ben and all his staff. Thank you all!
