OKC-OMS: Oral Surgery & Dental Implants - North OKC

I wish there were 10 stars I could give Dr. Mendenhall and his staff. I have had 2 wisdom teeth extracted (an upper in 2010 and the opposing lower yesterday) and I cannot recommend him and his practice more highly. Both times I had no need for pain killers after the surgery day, and had zero issues during healing. I would absolutely recommend OKC-OMS for any oral surgery based on 2 terrific experiences 15+ years apart. Dr. Mendenhall and his care team were superb. Having wisdom teeth extracted can be a frightening experience, but OKC-OMS took the anxiety and pain out of it.

My son had his wisdom teeth removed here. Everything from start to finish was perfect. The staff was great, the surgeon was great. They genuinely care about their patients and it shows. Would recommend 100%

I would rate this a five-star experience except for the fact of a 29-day wait to be scheduled in when I had a tooth hurting. Very polite and professional staff.

Well I thought when I was asked to fill out a satisfaction survey that said “We would love to hear about your experience,” that it would include a chance to actually leave feedback, but there was no option for that, just a single 1-5 rating and then a prompt to leave a Google review. Which is consistent with my entire experience with this office. The doctor was fine, staff were fine, but communication was a mess! I filled out their online contact form twice and never got a call back. Don’t waste your time, just call them. I don’t know why they even have a form if they aren’t going to contact people. They also call to confirm your appointment from unidentified numbers that say they’re from other cities, and if you don’t answer they demand you call back to confirm. I guess if they can’t handle web forms then text message confirmations are too much to ask for. I also didn’t appreciate having a complete stranger insist on not only walking me to my car but touching me THE ENTIRE TIME without even asking for my consent first (because apparently my husband could be trusted to drive me home but not to walk me to our car?). I guess they think having a tiny woman put her hand on my shoulder will somehow prevent me from falling in the parking lot, or absolve them of liability if I do? Seriously they could have at least warned me that she was going to put her hands on me like that! The actual surgeon and surgery were fine, and that’s really what’s most important, but the patient experience leaves a lot to be desired.

Absolutely amazing experience. Bone grafts were installed painlessly and the healing process was seamless. The surgeon and his staff were extremely informative and reassuring. I will certainly recommend this clinic to any of my friends, especially those who are fearful about dental surgery.

Went to the Shawnee location to do my implant with Dr. McGarry. He and his team did wonders in making me feel comfortable and at ease. 10/10 recommend Dr. McGarry and his team in Shawnee.
