Origin Dental

It may sound a little strange to say, but I genuinely enjoy going to the dentist at Origin Dental! The staff are always so friendly, welcoming, and kind, which makes every visit a pleasant experience. Dr. Tran is wonderful—he is attentive, highly skilled, and truly caring. He takes the time to listen and makes sure I feel comfortable and well cared for. I’m very grateful to have found a dentist I trust and an office that makes going to the dentist something I actually look forward to.

Writing this review on request from the dentist. I just had my 3rd semiannual cleaning here and the dentist (Victor Tran) has been consistently excellent with great attention to detail. Office/technology is modern and I've never had to wait long for my appointments. Hygienist seems knowledgeable/experienced and his cleanings have been pain-free. Xray tech was also excellent. Minor gripe: the last polishing was quite rushed and did not seem thorough (although the cleaning itself did not seem as rushed). Also, the billing manager last year quoted me $632 out of pocket for a night guard (after supposedly checking with my insurance, Delta Dental of MA), but it turned out to be $65 after I called my insurance the following week to doublecheck coverage. Glad I doublechecked. Still a big fan of this dentist and will continue going.

Even though I moved away from San Diego two years ago, I still travel back for my dental care at Origin Dental. I have always had severe dental anxiety due to tooth sensitivity, but Dr. Victor Tran and his amazing team go above and beyond to keep me comfortable, check in on me, and explain every step of the process. I trust them completely because they truly care about their patients' well-being.

I’ve been coming to Origin Dental and seeing Dr. Tran for almost 7 years now and I’ve always had a positive experience with routine cleanings and more extensive dental work. I find this office to be very transparent, they recommend what you need without trying to over-recommend treatments. This year I’ve unfortunately broken a crown and a filling (they were very old and from a different dentist a decade ago) and both times it happened on a weekend. I called their emergency number and Dr. Tran got back to me immediately and triaged the situation. I was able to get in for appointments and same-day crowns the very next business day. The whole office is also really nice and pleasant. Highly recommend Origin Dental!

Dr. Tran is highly professional and took the time to explain my treatment plan, making me feel completely at ease. Danielle is an excellent hygienist—she was gentle, thorough, and my teeth felt incredibly clean after my appointment. The entire staff was friendly and welcomingI highly recommend Origin Dental!

I’ve been a patient at Origin Dental since August 2024. Dr. Tran and his team have taken very good care of my teeth. I’ve had all the X-Rays, dental scans, oral comprehensive examinations and teeth cleaning completed. Dr. Tran provided a personalized dental care plan specific for my needs and was very informative on all the procedures he recommended. I have never felt pressured to schedule anything. I always receive a breakdown of what my insurance could cover and what I would be financially responsible for. I really appreciate their transparency before booking any procedures. The staff is very friendly from the moment I walk into their office to the moment I leave. The facilities are beautiful and they seem to have very modern advanced technology. I look forward to all my future visits here at Origin Dental.

I honestly had such a great experience here. I’m not really a nervous person, but let me tell you… this wisdom tooth extraction was NOT easy 😅 I've gone to other offices where the surgeons say it's very complicated, two of my teeth were basically stuck together, so Dr. Tran ended up having to remove two teeth on my right side. He made me feel super comfortable the entire time, explained things clearly, and somehow managed to keep it calm even though it was a complicated case. I felt very taken care of, which says a lot when you’re literally getting teeth pulled out of your face 🫠😂 Hands down, he’s the best. I would 100% recommend him to anyone. Special shout out to both hygienists, Michael and Danielle, who have cleaned my teeth, they are amazing! 🙌✨

I've been a patient of Origin Dental for a couple of years. The office is clean with the latest equipment. Dr. Tran and the staff are generally pretty friendly. The hygienist, Michael, is great. The reason for a 4-star review is because their front office staff isn't the best. They make a considerable amount of billing errors and they don't communicate or follow-up properly.
