Orlando Oral and Facial Surgery

Being the mom of a nonverbal, 14-year-old autistic child, when I was told my son needed a tooth extraction, my fear went through the roof. I immediately started researching, making calls, reading reviews, and desperately searching for someone experienced with special-needs /Autism patients—someone with the understanding, patience, willingness, and compassion to treat my boy with the care and dignity he deserved. Long story short… GOD led us to Dr. Goldberg, and I will forever be grateful. ❤️ From our consultation to the moment the entire experience was over, Dr. Goldberg was truly nothing short of amazing. He was kind, patient, understanding, informative, and—most importantly—genuinely wonderful with our son. He made us feel heard, reassured, and supported. But more than anything, he treated our son the same. I understand that Dr. Goldberg may not traditionally be considered a special-needs, or pediatric oral surgeon. But I am writing this review because I want to share our experience in the hope that it helps even ONE parent who may be feeling the same fear and worry that I was. To the moms and dads searching, worrying, and wondering: “Who is going to understand my child?” especially with no words. “Who will be patient with them?” “Who will treat them with compassion?” I want to shout this from the rooftops: THIS IS THE PLACE. And Dr. Goldberg is the man you want caring for your loved one. I walked in a terrified mom and walked away incredibly grateful. For families with special-needs and Autistic children, sometimes finding the right doctor isn't just about credentials or reviews. It's about finding someone who truly sees your child. Someone who listens. Someone who understands that things that may seem small to other people can be HUGE factors for our kids. Someone who doesn't make you feel like you're asking too many questions. Someone who makes you feel like you're on the same team. And that's exactly how Dr. Goldberg made us feel. What started as a broken tooth and an incredibly stressful search for an oral surgeon led us to someone who made an extremely difficult situation feel just a little bit easier. Again, Dr. Goldberg and his amazing team at OOFS may not be labeled “special-needs or Autism friendly,” but I promise you, they are. And I am telling every special-needs Autism parent I know: If your child needs oral surgery, THIS is the place to go. And honestly, even if you don't have a special-needs child and simply need an oral surgeon, Dr. Goldberg is the one to go to. Hands down. Because when you encounter someone who genuinely cares about the person sitting in front of them—someone who goes above and beyond, takes your fears seriously, makes sure you feel heard and comfortable, and even checks on your child hours after the procedure… THAT is something to be grateful for. And that is something worth sharing with everyone you know. Dr. Goldberg, you may never truly understand how much your kindness, compassion, patience, and dedication meant to me that day. Dr. Avery Goldberg is a great doctor! First time getting my teeth extracted and overall I have to say it was a great experience! At least as great as tooth extraction can be that is. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend and will definitely return for any future needs!!

Great team and office!

From the first consultation through the procedure and follow-up, everything was handled professionally and with genuine care. Dr, Goldberg followed up hours after the surgery to check my son to ensure his recovery was going ok. If you're looking for an oral surgeon who is knowledgeable, caring, and does outstanding work, I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Goldberg and his team were beyond exceptional! After my son suffered a traumatic dental injury, Dr. Goldberg's office fit us in immediately, despite an already full schedule. From the moment we arrived, the entire team was compassionate, professional, and genuinely cared about helping him. Dr. Goldberg took the time to thoroughly evaluate the injury, explain everything clearly, and develop a treatment plan. He was able to reposition my son's teeth, stabilize them, and took additional time to clean and repair areas that required great attention. His expertise, calm demeanor, and willingness to act quickly gave us tremendous confidence and peace of mind during an incredibly stressful time. I did a lot of research and met with other dentists first, but this practice completely won me over—the entire group was wonderfully pleasant and understanding. I had an excellent experience with my extractions at Orlando Oral and Facial Surgery. I needed an infected molar and a cavity wisdom tooth removed. Because I had delayed the extraction for so long for the molar and dealt with multiple infections, there was a very brief moment of sharp pain right when the infected molar was pulled, but that was entirely on me for waiting. There was absolutely no pain at all when the wisdom tooth was pulled. Dr. Goldberg was absolutely outstanding professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process. The staff was just as amazing: friendly, attentive, and incredibly organized from check-in to follow-up. The aftercare instructions were excellent; the team truly went out of their way to explain everything thoroughly to my husband so he knew exactly how to help me recover. To top it off, I even received a personal message from the doctor 24 hours after my treatment checking in on how I was feeling. You can really tell they care about their patients and take pride in what they do. The office runs smoothly, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Dr. Goldberg and the entire team to anyone looking for top-quality oral and facial surgery care. Update: my recovery has been pain free for the last three days due to following the after care instructions.
