About Orofacial & Dental Implant Surgery

Orofacial & Dental Implant Surgery is a dental practice on Stonerock Circle in Orlando, Florida. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.

Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.

Oral surgery covers procedures beyond routine treatment — surgical extractions including impacted wisdom teeth, implant placement, and bone grafting among the more common ones. The distinguishing feature is generally that tissue is opened and closed as part of the procedure, rather than treated at the surface.

Bone grafting rebuilds jaw bone that has shrunk after a tooth has been missing for a while, most often as preparation for a dental implant that needs sufficient volume to anchor into. Healing generally takes several months before further treatment can proceed.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway. I had wisdom teeth surgery with Dr. Morales and he was the absolute best as well as everyone that helped with the surgery! I felt confident and comfortable going into my surgery especially with extreme dental anxiety which says A LOT. If you can, most definitely opt for IV sedation, Exaparel, and platelet therapy.

This office is the best! My two girls had their wisdom teeth done and now my son. Dr. Shaikh was wonderful and so was the staff, starting with the front office and everyone in the back.Katie was also very helpful with making sure his clearance was done and ready for the doctor to look at. Ana took good care of baby boy from start to finish and was just very sweet. Genesis, greeted us and made sure that the papers/payment were all set. Kei, later called to check on my son and answered some more questions for me. Thank you so much everyone!

Dr. Austin Belknap provided me with the outstanding care during my visit on 6/4/2026. My dentist referred me to her and I must say I was very impressed, felt heard/reassured during my pathology exam. The appointment didn’t feel rushed and the experience felt genuine truly. Also a big shout out to Ms. Augustina for helping me schedule the appointment and getting me seen so quickly. Thank you both.

I had an amazing experience since my first visit. I needed to have all my wisdom teeth removed, and since that visit, everyone was so friendly (front desk, medical assistants, and insurance agent). Honestly, I was a little nervous, but Dr. Morales and his assistant were so patient and kind, which made me feel less anxious. During surgery, it was great! It was done so quickly, and I didn’t feel any pain. Also, barely any pain after! Dr. Morales did an amazing job and was always really kind. His assistants during the surgery were also incredible, especially Justin who was very helpful. I even received a phone call from them hours after the surgery, just so they could check on me. That shows how amazing everyone in the office is! I truly recommend them!

I was going to give writing a review a couple of days to form a genuine opinion on this establishment, staff, and provider. It’s been a couple days post my procedure and boy, I don’t know where to start. I’m truly happy with the service I’ve received and time that went into answering my questions and concerns. Especially after undergoing such a complicated and time constricted case. Dr. Morales was very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. I forgot the names of the staff members who assisted me, but what I highly applaud, admire, and appreciate is how caring they were, even going as far as to check up on me consistently, walk me to my car, and wipe away my tears. I recommend the platelet therapy and numbing medicine (starts with an E) which I believe has aided me with my healing process and pain management. I came into the office with a pain level of an 8-10 that would not subside for days despite being on antibiotics and NSAIDs. I would rate my pain about a 5-6 right after my procedure, and a 1-3 the couple of days following, with some days and moments being a 0. This team really does put the care in healthcare. Amazing work.

I recently had the opportunity to visit for a dental evaluation, and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of care provided. Dr. Morales demonstrated exceptional professionalism and compassion throughout my visit. His comprehensive knowledge and clear explanations not only addressed my concerns but also enhanced my understanding of the procedure. I would also like to acknowledge Alejandra ,the attending nurse whose kindness and attentiveness were greatly appreciated. She provided detailed pre-operative instructions with remarkable clarity and patience, ensuring that I was well-prepared and comfortable with each step. Overall, my experience at this clinic was outstanding. The team’s dedication, expertise, and genuine care reflect the highest standards of patient-centered dental practice. I highly recommend to anyone seeking expert and compassionate oral healthcare.
