Fast, gentle and efficient!

This is my second time at this office. The service is always great and staff is super friendly. Ms. Felicia was very helpful with my insurance questions/concerns. I definitely recommend Ortega Dental.

Amanda and the doctor were very kind and professional, and they fixed my tooth very quickly. All the staff members are very professional.

If you don’t want to pay for an expensive crown out of pocket, stay away from this office. I don’t recommend this dental office. I was told I needed a crown on one of my teeth, so I trusted their recommendation and paid over $1,600 out of pocket while they submitted the remaining balance to my primary dental insurance plan (I have two insurances but they only filed with one). My primary insurance claim was denied. The insurance company specifically stated that the tooth could have been treated with a filling instead of a crown. The office submitted additional documentation and appealed the decision, but the claim was denied again for the same reason. Now they expect me to pay an additional $690 out of pocket. This has made me seriously question whether the crown was actually necessary in the first place. Because I was so uncomfortable with the situation, I sought second opinions from two different dentists. What concerns me even more is that this office had also told me another tooth needed a crown, yet both of the other dentists agreed that a crown was NOT necessary on that tooth. On top of that, they charged me a $50 cancellation fee for canceling an appointment for the first time, without giving me any prior warning or courtesy. I had never canceled or missed an appointment before. Overall, this experience has left me feeling misled and pressured into expensive treatment that may not have been necessary. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major dental work here. I would not recommend this office.

Dr. Flores and his staff are amazing! His bedside manner is approachable and comforting and the staff are always so kind and helpful! Not only was I recommended Ortega Dental by a friend but I recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist

Dr. Flores and his staff I have been great so far. At my initial consultation, they did a thorough examination to see where things were at and provided a realistic assessment based off of that. No pressure to immediately address old fillings or other potential concerns that weren't actually pressing issues. When I had a tooth chip, they were able to fit me in their busy schedule to evaluate and correct it without too long of a wait. There are a lot of dentists in Jacksonville, but I don't mind going out of my way for care at Ortega Dental.

Mad respect for the entire staff. Very professional. Kept me informed of every detail. They put me at ease. Recognition for Janessa, Taylor, Dr. Carter, Amanda, and Cindy. I highly recommend this office for your dental needs.

The office staff is very friendly! They were helpful as I signed up for their health club program. Janessa did a great job with explaining and walking me through the cleaning, she was also effective but gentle which was a nice experience. Dr. Carpenter was kind & professional and informative during the dental examination. Overall great experience & would recommend the practice as a whole.

I can't speak highly enough about my experience at Ortega Dental! From the moment you walk in, you’ll notice that the office is modern, clean, and welcoming. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. They explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable throughout my cleaning and subsequent procedure. Dr. Flores, a Navy veteran, is thorough, skilled, and personable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch care. Best dentist I've ever been to!

Truly a wonderful experience. I have never walked out of a dentist appointment and been happy, but this was great. Dr. Flores was very kind and friendly, did a thorough exam and was able to help me with a referral for other things I need to have done. Stephanie, the hygienist, was absolutely amazing. She made me feel comfortable, asked if I was okay every step of the way, and gave me the first painless cleaning I have ever had. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend coming here.
