Always a great experience at Ortega Dental!

Staff frequently calls after appointments to collect payments after letting me leave the office after I asked if there was a payment. VERY ANNOYING

This office is highly recommended! The staff, atmosphere and dentists are very knowledgeable, professional and good human beings. You dont feel like a #. I had no anxiety at all in the office or afterwards.

Just finished up my dental appointment over at Ortega Dental in Jacksonville, FL, I've been putting off getting my teeth sorted – you know, all those persistent issues like cavities and needing a few crowns. The thought of it always filled me with a bit of dread, and finding the right place felt like a huge hurdle. But, oh my goodness, I owe a massive thank you to my wonderful daughter, Kayla! She kept telling me I *had* to see Dr. Flores, and I'm so incredibly happy I listened to her. The entire experience at Ortega Dental was just phenomenal. From the moment I stepped in, the staff and Dr. Flores not only incredibly skilled but also has such a wonderfully reassuring manner. It's such a huge weight off my shoulders to finally find a dental team that makes you feel completely at ease and confident that you're in the best hands. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ortega Dental! It had been a long time since I had been to the dentist, and I was extremely anxious about finally going back. From the very first phone call, I knew I had made the right choice. I spoke with Alexis when I called to schedule, and she was truly the kindest person. She was so warm, welcoming, and reassuring and immediately made me feel comfortable. By the end of the call, I honestly felt like I was talking to a friend! She is the absolute best and made such a great first impression. When I came in for my comprehensive exam, everyone I encountered was so kind and welcoming. Dr. Flores was wonderful and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the entire appointment. There was absolutely no judgment, which meant so much to me after being nervous about returning to the dentist. My next visit was with Stephanie, my hygienist, and she was an absolute angel! She was incredibly kind, gentle, and reassuring and made the entire experience so easy. She genuinely turned something I had been dreading into such a positive experience. I actually can’t wait to go back for my next visit — and I NEVER thought I would say that about going to the dentist! I am so glad I chose Ortega Dental and would absolutely recommend them, especially to anyone who has dental anxiety or has put off going to the dentist for a while. They truly make you feel comfortable, cared for, and welcome from the moment you call. ❤️

I am so thankful for Ortega Dental! When you first arrive you are greeted by kind, caring, and friendly front desk employees! Shout out Amanda and Alexis! I have had many cavities, crowns, and I have a dental implant! I have trusted no dentist more than Dr.Flores. He treats patients holistically, he listens to your concerns, he uses evidence based care, he explains things throughly, and most importantly he truly cares about the patient! I am SO grateful for Ortega Dental and all the amazing people there!

Fast, gentle and efficient!

This is my second time at this office. The service is always great and staff is super friendly. Ms. Felicia was very helpful with my insurance questions/concerns. I definitely recommend Ortega Dental.

Amanda and the doctor were very kind and professional, and they fixed my tooth very quickly. All the staff members are very professional.

If you don’t want to pay for an expensive crown out of pocket, stay away from this office. I don’t recommend this dental office. I was told I needed a crown on one of my teeth, so I trusted their recommendation and paid over $1,600 out of pocket while they submitted the remaining balance to my primary dental insurance plan (I have two insurances but they only filed with one). My primary insurance claim was denied. The insurance company specifically stated that the tooth could have been treated with a filling instead of a crown. The office submitted additional documentation and appealed the decision, but the claim was denied again for the same reason. Now they expect me to pay an additional $690 out of pocket. This has made me seriously question whether the crown was actually necessary in the first place. Because I was so uncomfortable with the situation, I sought second opinions from two different dentists. What concerns me even more is that this office had also told me another tooth needed a crown, yet both of the other dentists agreed that a crown was NOT necessary on that tooth. On top of that, they charged me a $50 cancellation fee for canceling an appointment for the first time, without giving me any prior warning or courtesy. I had never canceled or missed an appointment before. Overall, this experience has left me feeling misled and pressured into expensive treatment that may not have been necessary. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major dental work here. I would not recommend this office.
