About Ottawa Dental Clinic

Based on Cobourg Street in the Lower Town area of Ottawa, Ontario, Ottawa Dental Clinic is a dental practice serving the area. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.

A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.

Cosmetic dentistry covers treatment aimed primarily at appearance — whitening, veneers, bonding, and reshaping among the more common options — for patients who are less concerned with a problem that hurts than with how their smile looks day to day. The right combination depends on what specifically you would like to change.

Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath.

A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to crowns placed on the teeth either side of the gap, creating a fixed replacement rather than a removable one. It is a longstanding alternative to an implant, particularly when the neighbouring teeth already need crowns. I came on Monday to see the dentist because I was complaining that I had tooth ache. The dentist said I was fine and I asked if I had cavities she said no. I came to another dentist and I ended up having so many cavities. This is not okay especially for the City of Ottawa dentist. Don’t come here go somewhere else!!

They put me on hold, but they had acquaintances, so they let them in before me. There was a girl in the reception from the state of Yemen, and she admitted someone who came after me, even though it was my turn. I hope that she will be held accountable, and also the other employee did that with another person.

I has a tooth extraction on Monday Nov 8 2021. I had a male dentist. Older Indian man. This guy rocked my molar back and forth so hard for at least 5 to 10 mins straight. I have researched and watched many videos after because of the amount of EXTREME PAIN I WAS IN EVEN 10 MINS AFTER THE PROCEDURE. EVEN WITH MY HALF MY FACE NUMB. HE should HAVE CUT MY MOLAR IN HALF because it was large . But this guy was so lazy . I hear snapping. He said a piece of tooth is still in the hole and that he's not going in there to fish it out it could end up in my sinuses....fair enough. I'm almost certain it was not tooth but BONE. I DONT HAVE DRY SOCKET. I called about 30 mins after my procedure in a full on panic attack in severe pain.....my face was still numb it was bone pain. And the receptionist LAUGHED AT ME . Saying well you should expect some discomfort. I had to take 1200mgs of advil and 1000mgs of tylenol every 5 hours for 4 days straight. I even call my doctor and he gave me T3s with codeine because the dentist refused to help me. I honestly have PTSD FROM this whole experience. It's now Friday and I'm still taking advil and tylenol regularly. I will never ever return to this place.
