Dr. Owtad is a fantastic orthodontist and a dedicated mentor! As a teacher at the A.T. Still University orthodontic residency program, he brings so much care, expertise, and knowledge to everything he does. It was so kind of him to let me shadow him today, and I learned so much from the experience. Highly recommend his practice!

Dr. Owtad was fabulous in his orthodontia care for me and was a constant presence through my one and a half year journey with Spark aligners. He always took the time to explain what was going on with my teeth and showed 3D scans of how my teeth were moving and the button process with aligner trays. Highly recommended if you want a great orthodontist in Tempe with empathy and excellent skills! Bonus points for being able to do it in the same office as my dentist the amazing Dr. Amy Okun!

Our son has sucked his thumb since birth, and as he got older, the habit only became more persistent. By age five, he was struggling with behavioral challenges both at school and at home, his sleep was poor, and we knew as parents that something deeper was going on. We initially took him to a pediatric dentist hoping to get a thumb cradle to help break the habit. However, after further evaluation and research, we learned that he had significant airway issues and that addressing the thumb sucking alone would simply be putting a Band-Aid on a much larger problem. Our pediatric dentist referred us to Dr. Owtad, speaking incredibly highly of him and assuring us that he was the right person to help. Still, we were hesitant. Our son was only five, we live outside of Phoenix, and no orthodontists in our hometown were comfortable intervening at such a young age. But our parental instincts told us we couldn’t simply wait while his breathing, sleep, behavior, and learning continued to be affected. One of the things we appreciated most about Dr. Owtad was that he didn’t rush us into treatment. Despite our concerns and eagerness to find answers, he took a thoughtful, conservative approach. He encouraged us to monitor our son’s development, consult with an ENT, and carefully consider the appropriate timing for intervention. That alone gave us so much confidence in his judgment and genuine concern for our son’s well-being. Ultimately, we moved forward with an expander, and the results have been nothing short of incredible. In just 4–5 months, our son’s airway measurements have increased nearly threefold, his behavior has improved dramatically, and we’ve noticed such a significant difference in his sleep, overall well-being, and performance at school. Seeing these changes in our child has been such a relief and a blessing. We truly cannot recommend Dr. Owtad and his team enough. His office is wonderful, communication is excellent, and the entire experience has reinforced that making the drive to Phoenix was absolutely worth it. Dr. Owtad’s knowledge, patience, and conservative, individualized approach set him apart. We are beyond grateful that we trusted our instincts and found our way to his practice. Dr. Owtad is truly one of the best, and we couldn’t be happier with our son’s progress!

This place is seriously the best orthodontist! Everyone was always extremely friendly, professional, and welcoming. They really listen to what kind of smile you want and work with you to make sure you get the results you’re looking for. They’re amazing at what they do, and I couldn’t be happier with how my smile turned out. I had braces for about two years, and the entire experience was great from start to finish. The pricing was also very reasonable for the quality of care and results I received. I’m extremely happy with my new smile and would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for an orthodontist!

Have had a great experience getting Invisalign at Owtad Orthodontics! The price was very reasonable compared to other quotes I got in the area. Dr. Owtad and the whole staff here are great. You can tell he really cares about his patients and making sure they have a positive experience and results. I've recommended here to many friends in the area who are interested in Invisalign, I definitely wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

My 7 year old daughter was incredibly scared to get her expander in.. she cried for 45 minutes to an hour. Everyone in the office was super patient with her and did everything they could to make her comfortable and i couldn’t appreciate that more. They allowed her to hold the appliance, offered her toys, water, a donut, tried to talk to her, and most important gave her the space she needed to be comfortable. As a mom, that is something that makes me very happy. We weren’t rushed out due to her being scared and we weren’t embarrassed.. we were supported. Every time we go here the experience is better than the last. This place is top notch and everyone is amazing. I definitely recommend Owtad if you need or are looking for an orthodontist. I couldn’t be more grateful and more happy with this office. Thank you so much!

I am very particular about my teeth and my smile. For the last 8 years, I have worked with different orthodontists, but I still did not reach the smile I wanted. After doing deep research online, I found Dr. Payam! From the moment I met him, he listened carefully and looked at my smile as a whole. He explained everything clearly and shared a very natural organic approach to improving my teeth. Dr. Payam is professional, down to earth, and easy to talk to. I’m really glad I found him. If you care a lot about your smile and want someone who truly listens and, most importantly, does a good job, I would definitely recommend Dr. Payam.
