About Palmdale Children and Family Dental Group

Palmdale Children and Family Dental Group is a general dentistry practice on East Palmdale Boulevard offering routine and pediatric family dental care for patients across Palmdale. Combining general and children's dentistry under one roof means a family doesn't need a separate pediatric specialist for a child's care alongside a general dentist for the parents. The East Palmdale Boulevard location puts the practice within easy reach of several surrounding residential neighborhoods without a long drive across the city for a routine visit or restorative follow-up. East Palmdale Boulevard connects several residential pockets on the city's east side, keeping the drive manageable for most families nearby regardless of which part of Palmdale they call home.

Patients researching a family dentist in Palmdale, or specifically pediatric-friendly dental care along East Palmdale Boulevard, will find cleanings, exams, tooth-colored fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, and basic extractions covered here for patients of all ages. That combined scope tends to matter most for families managing multiple kids' dental needs alongside their own, letting a parent's cleaning and a child's checkup happen at the same practice, without splitting the family's dental care across two separate offices with two separate sets of dental records.

If you're comparing family dentists in Palmdale and want a practice that also handles kids' dental care, this is worth a first appointment.

Cost for routine and restorative dental work varies by procedure, so it's worth asking directly what a specific visit or treatment plan runs rather than assuming a flat rate. For Palmdale families researching affordable family dental care, or anyone picking a regular dentist for both parents and kids, Palmdale Children and Family Dental Group's combined scope and East Palmdale Boulevard location make it a reasonable starting point for a first visit, whether that visit is for a toddler's first checkup or a parent's overdue cleaning, and whether the family is new to Palmdale or has lived there for years and knows the area well already.

Based on East Palmdale Boulevard in Palmdale, California, Palmdale Children and Family Dental Group provides cosmetic dentistry and root canal treatment alongside routine dental care. The practice is open Monday through Friday. Contact details and a full list of services are on this page.

Can gum disease make you lose teeth?
Yes — advanced gum disease is a leading cause of tooth loss in adults. It destroys the bone and fibres holding teeth in place, which is why teeth eventually loosen, and it usually progresses without pain.
Is professional whitening better than over-the-counter strips?
They work on the same chemistry but not to the same standard. Strips use a weaker gel and depend on you placing them evenly, which is why results are often patchy near the gumline. In-office treatment uses a stronger gel with the gums shielded, giving a faster and more even change.
Will whitening work on crowns or veneers?
No. Whitening acts on natural enamel only, so crowns, veneers, and tooth-coloured fillings keep whatever shade they were made in. If you have visible dental work at the front, whitening the teeth around it can create a mismatch worth planning for in advance.

They make you wait much longer than agreed for your appointment, and it's happened to me that I've arrived 3 times already and because I'm pregnant they don't want to see me.

I had a great experience at this dental office from start to finish. The entire team was welcoming, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. A special thank you to Gloria for going above and beyond to help me. She was incredibly kind, patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions and make sure everything went smoothly. Her outstanding customer service truly made a difference. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a caring, knowledgeable, and professional dental team. Thank you again, Gloria, for all your help!

Andres is the absolute best! He is so kind and caring. I’m always so happy to see him. I had my wisdom teeth removed and he gave me his hand for emotional support. I really appreciated he was by my side and helped ease my nerves. Dr. Joseph was incredible and kind as well. I had little to no pain during the procedure. So glad I was in good hands! Thank you Dr. Joseph and Andres!

I used to like this place BUT LATELY I’ve had a really frustrating experience with this Dental/orthodontic office. It feels like there are constant upsells and pressure during what is supposed to be a simple consultation. It honestly comes across as very commission-driven rather than focused on actual patient care thats a huge 🚩 There also seems to be confusion about what my child is even coming in for. These visits are supposed to be simple fill-ins, but instead I’m repeatedly being talked to about every service the office is promoting, every single visit. On top of that, I was told at one point that my child may need surgery for an overbite she doesn’t even have. That was shocking and felt completely unnecessary and inaccurate, especially without clear explanation or consistency from different providers. Overall, it feels overwhelming and disorganized rather than straightforward care. The frequent automated calls and constant follow-ups only add to the stress and start to feel intrusive. I wanted a supportive, honest orthodontic experience, but instead it has felt like pressure, mixed messaging, and ongoing attempts to sell treatment rather than clearly address what my child actually needs. No I would not recommend 😒

Dr. Joseph, S.J., and Andres did a really good job taking care of my daughter (17 years old). Took out all 4 wisdom teeth flawlessly. Finally, a great dentist for teens in the AV!

I really thought this place was going to be amazing. Some of the staff truly are—they’re kind, respectful, and take good care of you. But unfortunately, that’s not the experience every time. The biggest issue is the wait time and scheduling. I book my appointments well in advance—sometimes a month ahead—and still end up waiting hours. For example, I had a 3:30 PM appointment and wasn’t seen until after 5:30 PM. (And leaving when they close after 6:00 pm)This isn’t a one-time thing either—it happens every single time I come in, and I’ve been noticing it for about a year now. What’s even more frustrating is seeing people who arrive later get called in before us, even when they seem to be there for the same type of appointment. That doesn’t feel fair at all, especially when I’m coming straight from work and still have responsibilities afterward. Today was especially disappointing. I witnessed a hygienist tell another patient they would move their chart to the front so they wouldn’t have to wait. On top of that, four people were taken in before my daughter, even though we had already been waiting. I understand that delays can happen, but this feels like a consistent scheduling and fairness issue. I really hope management takes a closer look at how appointments are handled, because the long waits and lack of order are very frustrating. Jennifer Lopez (Gonzalez is my maiden name)

Dr Alejandra and Lucy this is the best place to come if you want. Friendly and wonderful people to work on you. I have been coming here only because of my doctor and Lucy. Everyone else too, don't get me wrong. Everyone treats you as if your family. I used to go to another dentist. And when I came here, I told the other dentist, I'm cool. I'm going to keep going where I'm going. So for everyone, that reads this, no, for a fact. That this is the place to go guaranteed a smile. Remember , I give this place one hundred of one hundred
