About Park Cedar Dentistry

Based on Park Cedar Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina, Park Cedar Dentistry is a dental practice serving the area. Prosthetic dentistry is the branch concerned with replacing missing teeth and restoring damaged ones — dentures, bridges, crowns, and implant-supported restorations all sit within this area, chosen based on how much natural tooth and bone remain.

Comprehensive care generally means a practice can handle most of a patient's dental needs in-house — preventive, restorative, and often minor cosmetic or surgical treatment — reducing how often patients are referred elsewhere for routine work.

A filling repairs a tooth after decay has been cleaned out, most often using tooth-coloured composite resin that is shaped and bonded to blend with the surrounding tooth. It is usually completed in a single appointment and is one of the most routine restorative procedures in dentistry.

Tooth Decay Treatment is also among the treatments offered here, and the practice can explain what it involves and whether it fits your situation at a consultation.

General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less. Park Cedar Dentistry is top notch. Over the last 15 years I have had many teeth cleaning appointments and at least 6 crowns. The experience has always been first class. Crowns are made in house while you wait about a half hour. Dr Emily Snapp has been there over 25 years.

Looks like I found my new dentist!! Very clean very kind they made me feel like I was family and had been there before already. Very clean, I know I said that once, but she made sure that everything was very clean She took her time and made sure she didn’t cause any pain. She cared about my concerns as well that’s a big plus for me because I had a lot of concerns. I have another visit coming up and I can’t wait for the experience.

After being patients for 9 years, my whole family have left this practice. In recent years, there has been very aggressive upselling of unnecessary services. Their trifecta is wanting you to get a bite guard, invisalign and botox. Everyone in my family was told to consider these 3 identical options. We all declined except for my 23 year old daughter. She had recently started going to all her medical appointments alone. When she was told she needed this trifecta, she started to worry that something was terribly wrong with her dental condition. She ended up agreeing to get over $500 in botox treatments to relax the muscles of her jaw. When she came home and googled this, she realized it was for a much more serious condition for which she had none of the symptoms. My daughter was left feeling embarrassed and ashamed for being tricked into spending $500+. I was also offered the exact botox option as my daughter along with an additional 20 units to knock the lines off my forehead which has nothing to do with dental care. I have loved this dental practice but I no longer trust them as dentists who care about dental care. Instead they are feeling more like slimy sales people wanting to squeeze money from patients who only need to get their teeth cleaned. Go of you must but keep your brain on high alert when the dentist smiles pretty and tells you to get a bite guard, invisalign and botox for your jaw and your whole face as part of your dental cleaning.

I have been a patient of this practice since it first began. That’s maybe 50 years and I have always felt confident walking in, knowing I will get the best care possible. My tiny mouth isn’t easy to deal with but people here find a way to get the best job possible completed! Employees work as a great team and all are happy to work here. You will always leave this office with a smile!

I really struggled finding a dentistry when I moved to Charlotte going to Park Cedar really changed my experience and they made me feel like home when I got there. They were able to thoroughly explain the process of what’s needed to take care of my hygiene and also determine the next steps clearly with cost presented. The doctor is hygienist front desk. Everyone is really who you would want in a team taken care of your health. I want to give a big shout out to all of the doctors hygienists and the front desk!

Dr. Suttles is absolutely wonderful! She’s kind, personable and genuinely cares about all her patients. She always takes the time to listen to her patients’ concerns with the gift of excellent advice. The staff at Park Cedar Dentistry is also delightful and gracious. 🥰
