About Park Dental Lakeville
Park Dental Lakeville provides dental care on Kenwood Trail in Lakeville, Minnesota. Implants are considered by many dentists the most durable way to replace a missing tooth, since the titanium post fuses with the jaw bone over several months and then supports a crown that functions much like a natural tooth. Enough healthy bone is the main prerequisite, and a graft can build that up first if needed.
A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.
Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.
Gum disease treatment ranges from a deeper professional cleaning for early inflammation through to more involved periodontal care once bone around the teeth has started to be affected. Bleeding gums are usually the earliest sign, and the early stage is reversible with proper cleaning and better daily plaque control.
Dentures replace some or all of the natural teeth in a jaw with a removable appliance, custom-fitted to the mouth. A full denture replaces every tooth; a partial fills gaps where some natural teeth remain. Because the jaw bone reshapes over time, dentures typically need adjusting or remaking periodically.
Professional teeth whitening uses a peroxide-based gel, applied under supervision at a strength stronger than anything sold over the counter, to lift years of staining from coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco. It works on natural enamel only — existing crowns, veneers, and fillings keep whatever shade they were made in. My experience at this location was wonderful! Easy scheduling and everything was right on time. The staff was very pleasant & professional, and I was comfortable throughout my exam and cleaning. Everything was explained to me which was appreciated. I've moved a lot and have hopped around to different dentists quite a bit over the last 15 yrs (some good, some not so much). This location is in the top 2 or 3 of my dental experiences and I'm looking forward to making them my long term dentist office.
This dental office was completely unprofessional. My appointment was rescheduled multiple times due to “staffing issues,” with inconsistent explanations that felt dishonest. I was then threatened that I would not be seen unless I completed new patient paperwork ahead of time even though this paperwork can easily be completed in the office before an appointment, which is standard. The tone used was rude and unnecessary. Poor communication, poor management, and zero respect for patients’ time. I will not be returning and do not recommend this office to anyone.
I was given an “estimate” for fillings that ended up being dramatically different from the final cost. Park Dental Lakeville had my insurance information on file for many years, yet they chose not to base the estimate on my actual coverage. Instead, they provided an unrealistically low estimate that made the treatment seem far cheaper than it ultimately was. When I raised the issue, Park Dental Lakeville denied any reasonable attempt to settle the large discrepancy between the estimate and the final bill. While I understand that an estimate is not a guaranteed cost, it is unreasonable to provide one without first running it through a patient’s insurance—especially when that insurance has been on file for years. Their approach felt misleading, and their refusal to resolve the issue confirmed it. I would not recommend this dental office to anyone.
I recently had crowns installed on two dental implants at the Lakeville Park Dental Office. Dr. Brost worked meticulously to ensure the crowns aligned with my natural teeth. I am extremely satisfied with the outcome and am thankful to have a full set of permanent teeth again.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to warn people. This was a horrendous experience. I have always enjoyed going to the dentist and have minimal dental issues. I made an urgent appointment for extreme pain and was completely disregarded. The dentist told me I have bone fragments coming out of the bottom of my mouth (tori), that it will keep happening, and then sent me on my way with no treatment, recommendations, or any plan for relief. I truly cannot believe they can charge for dental care at this place. I would have gotten better care in a back alley.
