About Parkfield Family Dental
Parkfield Family Dental is a practice on Parkfield Drive in north Austin (78758), led by Dr. Patel. The clinic covers preventive and cosmetic dental care alongside dental implant work, with a service mix designed for the everyday range of dental needs most families have over time. The practice positions itself around personal patient relationships and modern dental treatments, with the appointment cadence shaped around taking time to walk through treatment recommendations rather than running through a packed schedule.
For everyday care, the practice handles preventive dentistry — exams, cleanings, and the routine maintenance that keeps small issues from becoming bigger ones. Dental implants are a notable service for the practice, with single-tooth and larger implant cases planned and placed in-house rather than referred to an oral surgeon across town. Cosmetic dentistry covers the smile-shaping work patients add over time — porcelain veneers, professional teeth whitening, and the cosmetic crowns that pair with broader cosmetic plans. The technology setup leans modern, with the practice describing its approach as utilizing advanced technology for accurate diagnosis and efficient treatment.
If you want a north Austin practice on Parkfield Drive that handles your routine cleanings and the bigger implant work in the same building with one dentist, this fits.
Cost-wise, the practice walks through treatment plan costs for cosmetic and implant work before any work begins, so the price picture is clear before commitment. Most major dental insurance is accepted, with payment options available for treatment plans that go beyond what insurance covers. The service here is great! They were able to get me in on a day that was convenient for me and went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable, even often checking in. Will be going here from now on
Dr Shaheed was great! Jess was also incredible. I've been coming to Parkfield Dental for years and they are always great
Dr. Shahid is wonderful! He explained everything very clearly, and took time to answer all questions that I had. I never felt rushed during my time with him. I will definitely be returning!
I have been a patient for a few years now and they keep improving every time I visit! Great staff - so kind and professional! Gabriel was my hygienist and he did a phenomenal job. So happy to have found such an awesome Dentists office in Austin!
Cynthia has worked with me for several years to keep my teeth at their very best. She is always kind, remembers my family, and always gentle with the water pick cleaning, and then flossing. I have never had a hygienist so personable and so professional that I am always comfortable when I visit Parkfield Dental. Many thanks to her and all the group at Parkfield.
My most recent visit on 6/11/2026 was so enjoyable! Valeria was able to get me back quickly and get X-rays done. Cynthia ran me through the whole process with my cleaning. And Dr.Shahid was able to inform me and keep me knowledgeable about any concerns that they had found. Overall a great experience and I will be scheduling future visits here.
I had a great experience at Parkfield Dental. Dr. Patel was gentle, professional, and did an excellent job fixing my crown. Ronnette,RDA, was also wonderful—gentle, personable, and genuinely caring throughout my visit. One of the coolest parts of the appointment was when Ronnette showed me how they mill the crowns right in the office. It was fascinating to see the technology and process. The entire team made me feel comfortable and well cared for. I highly recommend Parkfield Dental to anyone looking for quality dental care, crowns and cleaning.
Everyone was so kind and made me feel so comfortable. I hadn’t been to a dentist in years and I was surprised at how easy it was. Cynthia did an incredible job with my deep cleaning, Ava was thorough with my x rays, ana was always super kind at the desk, and Dr. Saez was great too!!
Great experience. I needed a last minute appointment and they got me in quickly. Dr. Patel was really friendly and explained everything. I was in and out quickly and really happy with my care there. I’m about 2 weeks now and I have no pain from my tooth and able to eat pain free. Really happy with my care compared to my other experiences with dentists.
There’s a big disconnect between scheduling and the doctors. This office will waste your time and try to recommend treatments that are unnecessary and expensive. You’ll be lucky if you talk to the same doctor throughout your visits. Information is inconsistent with whom you talk to regarding your health in the office. I had my first appointment in August for a cleaning and to get a cavity addressed I could feel. The tech scheduled me to come back in 2 weeks. When I came back they said it wasn’t necessary and that he was a temp so he didn’t know what he was doing and sent me home - a waste of my time. Came back in November for the second gingivitis cleaning. Then they finally got me an appointment for my filling. Through a series of reschedules that were both on my part and on theirs, I finally saw them in February. The Doctor comes in, whom I had never talked to before, immediately recommends a crown, when I had multiple conversations about it not being that. (I had just paid for the filling too when I had arrived.) The Doctor attempts to tell me that the cavity has progressed since August and the crown is necessary—keep in mind I’ve been there 3x since August for them to monitor the issue. A $300 visit was about to become a $1500 visit. I collect my refund and leave to get a second opinion. The next day at a different clinic they were able to get me in the same day for the filling and didn’t recommend a crown-even though they acknowledged it could compound into one once they got into the tooth. Additionally, they addressed another filling that Parkerfield had mentioned was a concern in August, but didn’t surface when my appointment came. The many 5-star reviews you see are because they offer a Starbucks gift card if you post one while finishing your appointment in the office. Bottom-line: I wouldn’t recommend this clinic. I have felt confused and unsure what was happening over the past 6 months in my visits even after I had originally told them my main issue. They will recommend treatments that are costly and not always necessary. I will not be returning
