I went to Pennsylvania Dental Group and had an amazing experience. The office is very welcoming, organized, and makes you feel comfortable right away. The entire staff was extremely attentive, polite, and professional. I was treated by Dr. Shin, who not only demonstrated extensive experience, but also inspired great confidence, paid close attention to detail, and provided exceptional care throughout the entire visit. I highly recommend Dr. Shin and the whole team. A place that truly makes you feel at ease and offers outstanding service!

I’ve been going to this dental office in Philadelphia for a while now, and overall I’ve had a very positive experience. The front desk team is organized and welcoming, and I appreciate how easy it is to schedule and confirm appointments. The office itself is clean, modern, and doesn’t feel chaotic, which really helps ease some of the usual dentist anxiety. The clinical care has been consistently solid. My cleanings have been thorough without feeling rushed, and the hygienists always explain what they’re doing and what they’re seeing. The dentist takes time to walk me through X‑rays and treatment options in plain language, so I feel informed rather than pressured into anything. I’ve also noticed they run pretty close to on time, which I really value with a busy schedule. Most visits start within a few minutes of my appointment, and I’m in and out efficiently while still feeling like my questions are answered. When I’ve had small issues between visits, the office has been responsive and able to fit me in reasonably quickly. That said, there are a couple of things that keep this from being a full five stars for me. At times, it can feel like the focus is a bit heavy on additional elective services or upgrades, and I’d prefer a slightly more low‑key approach to that side of things. There have also been a few minor communication hiccups around costs and insurance where I had to ask follow‑up questions to fully understand my out‑of‑pocket responsibility. Overall, I’m very happy with the quality of care and professionalism at this practice, and I plan to continue as a patient. If you’re looking for a reliable dentist in Philly with a clean office, friendly staff, and strong clinical work, I’d definitely recommend giving them a try. I love PA Dental group! I’ve been attending this dentist for the past two years. What started as an emergency appointment resulted in an amazing doctor/patient relationship. Dr. Leo is amazing! He is gentle, kind, and very knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain every procedure and answers all of my questions.

I’m leaving this review to give a fair and complete picture of my experience. First, I want to say that the doctors and clinical staff were excellent. The dentist was professional, thorough, and genuinely made me feel comfortable during treatment. I also appreciated the office’s flexibility with scheduling when availability was tight — that effort did not go unnoticed. Where my experience became frustrating was with billing and front-desk communication, particularly around insurance explanations. On multiple occasions, I was told I needed to pay certain amounts upfront, only to later receive an Explanation of Benefits from my insurance showing something different. This created confusion and required me to contact my insurance directly more than once to clarify what should or should not have been charged. To be fair, during my most recent visit, a front-desk staff member did apologize sincerely and explained that she had difficulty reaching my insurance company to confirm details. Once we did a conference call with my insurer, the issue was clarified, and I appreciate her transparency and effort to resolve it. I also want to note a few treatment-related issues for transparency: • I received a temporary crown twice that came off, which may have been due to placement or cement issues. • A partial denture I received did not fully align with my gum line as expected. I have strong in-network dental coverage, and while treatment plans and estimated costs were usually provided upfront (which I do appreciate), the follow-up billing didn’t always match those estimates, which is where the frustration came in. Overall, I believe this office provides good dental care, but I strongly recommend that patients: • Ask for itemized treatment plans • Verify insurance coverage in advance • Request clarification before paying anything out of pocket With clearer billing communication, this office could easily be a 5-star experience.
