I always receive excellent checkups and the hygienist is terrific. I love Dr. Afshar. She’s recently wanted a suspicious spot reviewed by the specialist in the practice, Dr. Farzin. He saw me ASAP. He was great and assured me not to worry. I have lots of confidence in the staff in this group and recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist. This was last year. I saw Dr. Afshar yesterday for routine check. No problems. Excellent care from her and the hygienist, Dave. I highly recommend PIA Dental. NEW REVIEW ON FEBRUARY 7, 2025: Yesterday Dr. Afshar cemented my new crown. She took lots of time to make sure it was perfect. X-rays, trimming, trying various positions. The dental assistant, Calvin, was careful, friendly, helpful, expert, and together they managed a complex task successfully. As usual, I’m impressed. The rest of the staff is great, too. I appreciate everyone who works in this practice. My husband and I are glad we go there. Update June 26, 2026. Dr. Afshar continues to provide excellent dental care. She just replaced an old filling that had a cavity underneath it. She was gentle and thorough in her treatment. My mouth recovered quickly. I always recommend her to anyone looking for a great dentist.

I’ve been a patient of PIA Dental for about 25 years, first with Dr. Irvin and now with Dr. Trask. It’s a wonderful practice - highly professional and patient-centered, with staff who get to know you. Most recently, I chipped a tooth and they slipped me into the schedule quickly (THANK YOU, Tomika!), and Dr. Trask and Ellie fixed my tooth painlessly.

I am an extremely anxious dental patient and was referred to Pia Dental by my children's orthodontist. From the moment I walked through the door it felt like a very different dental experience. The office is open and full of natural light (not like the terrible, old, yellow-tinged lighting most dental offices have!). The front desk staff and all of the dental assistants were BEYOND kind, gentle and comforting. Drs. Afshar and Penski EXCEEDED my expectations. They talked me through a plan to get my dental health back on track and developed a strategy for my dental anxiety that left me feeling truly cared for. I had not been to the dentist in 5+ years and suddenly had a dental emergency. PIA Dental, where my kids go, made time for me with less than 24 hours notice. I was in pain when I entered the office and felt great when I left. Dr. Afshar gave me detailed and helpful after-care instructions. The office is state of the art, spacious, light, and airy. The staff is professional, courteous, and warm at the same time. I've never loved going to the dentist, but this place is as good as it gets. I have already made my follow-up appointment for routine dental care. Outstanding service, environment, and care.
