About Peoria Oral & Implant Surgery

Based on West Happy Valley Parkway in the Lake Pleasant Towne Center area of Peoria, Arizona, Peoria Oral & Implant Surgery is a dental practice serving the area. Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Peoria Oral & Implant Surgery located in Peoria?

What days is Peoria Oral & Implant Surgery open?
Peoria Oral & Implant Surgery is open Monday through Friday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Peoria Oral & Implant Surgery offer?
Listed services at Peoria Oral & Implant Surgery include Wisdom Teeth Removal. The full list is shown on this page.
What age is best to have wisdom teeth taken out?
Late teens to early twenties is often easier, because the roots are less fully formed and bone is more forgiving, so healing tends to be quicker. Removal is still routinely done later when there is a reason for it.
Why do wisdom teeth cause problems?
They arrive last, often into a jaw with no room left, so they become impacted or come through at an angle. Partly erupted wisdom teeth are also very difficult to clean, which is why they are prone to repeated infection and decay.
Is it normal for teeth to be sensitive to cold?
Mild, brief sensitivity is common and often relates to exposed root surfaces or worn enamel. Sensitivity that lingers after the cold is removed is more significant and worth having examined, as it can indicate the nerve is involved.

I cannot say enough good things about Peoria Oral & Implant Surgery. The entire staff is incredibly polite and genuinely shows how much they care about their patients. From the start, they provided clear, easy-to-follow pre- and post-op instructions. The procedure itself was quick, and the staff was absolutely wonderful and patient with my daughter as she was coming out of anesthesia. What really sets them apart, though, is their follow-up care. Dr. Nino personally called to check on me the night of the surgery, and the office staff followed up afterward as well. It is rare to find a medical team this attentive, professional, and compassionate. Highly recommend!

I was referred to Dr Pollaccia by my dentist in order to extract an infected cracked molar in my mouth. I made the appointment and saw Dr Pollaccia within one week. Brandi was at the front desk and signed me in with a very welcoming manner!! Next came Dr Pollaccia’s assistant who was equally wonderful and got me settled in. Dr Pollaccia walked me through exactly what he was doing and kept checking in to ensure I wasn’t hurting or uncomfortable. I had a wonderful experience throughout the entire process and was SO pleased to receive a text from Dr Pollaccia that evening to ensure I was all right, as well as as a call from Brandy the following morning to check in with me. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Pollaccia and his staff and highly recommend them for any surgical dental work in the future!!!!

I had an emergency situation with a tooth that was infected and my face was swelling quickly. I went to Dr. Pollacia by referral and the staff was so sweet and Dr.P. was so caring. They were really concerned about me and my comfort. I would definitely go back to him again. The office called me to see how I was doing later and Dr. Pollacia personally called me on Monday. on the holiday, to see how I was doing because I went in on a Friday appointment. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Nino Pollaccia and his staff at Peoria Oral & Implant Surgery are excellent, and made my recent oral surgery experience surprisingly pleasant and painless. I was referred to their office by my long time dentist, who has had great feedback from other patients he’s referred there for a variety of treatments. First of all, Dr. Nino has great technique when administering local anesthesia! I’m very sensitive to pain, and have dental history that makes me anxious about getting shots in my mouth, yet I hardly felt a thing when he gave multiple shots to my pallet and upper outer jaw area!! This was done for the extraction of infected molar roots after an older crown recently came off, breaking part of my tooth off with it, due to some decay beneath the crown, and the remaining tooth was beyond repair. Dr. Nino made the entire procedure amazingly painless, so I want to especially encourage anyone fearful (like I was), that he was very careful, conscientious, and concerned for my comfort. Secondly, a few hours after I arrived home after my molar extraction, when the local anesthesia was wearing off. Dr. Nino texted me to see how I was doing, and gave me some personalized instructions for my specific situation. His staff had done a thorough job with post-op patient education, but I didn’t remember all that they had gone over, so it was especially helpful when he personally reached out, himself, to check on how I was feeling. Maybe this kind of thing is more common than I’m aware of, but I had never experienced same day follow up before, and it was an extra measure of human kindness that was comforting, and made a big impression. Their office is peaceful, professional, and friendly. Receptionist, Brandy, was very helpful in our phone and in office interactions; and assistant, Sabrina, was very capable, relatable, and attentive. I felt confident that I was in good hands, and I highly recommend Dr. Nino Pollaccia and Peoria Oral & Implant Surgery for anyone in need of the kind of specialized dental services that they provide.

I had the best experience. I Will definitely be referring my friends and family. My procedure was done on New Year’s Eve! And Dr Pollaccia made sure I had all my prescriptions and everything ready for my recovery. He even sent me a text when I got home to check on me. I really appreciate how attentive he was and how quickly he responds to all my questions. Also the staff was very nice! And explained everything. 100% recommend!

Dr. P is amazing! Both of my sons have had their wisdom teeth removed here and I am so impressed with the level of care during the procedure and after. Dr. P gave us his phone number so we could text with any questions. I texted numerous times and he always responded promptly. Recovery was really smooth since he made sure we knew what to do and what not to do. I highly recommend this place!

Wow, no pain and very easily preformed dental care! The whole team at Peoria Oral & Implant Surgery Was amazing. Being welcomed at the front desk by a wonderful personality and professional administrator made the visit financially worry free. The treatment staff worked their magic and made me feel like I was in a spa not a surgery center. I really felt comfortable and confident that I was being treated right. Well, Dr Nino Pollaccia is a mighty human, caring for me with completely understandable information and compassion. He gave me great advice and explained the whole process and procedure in great detail. Dr Nino as well really cares for my mind too, we talked about my overall health and he encouraged me with other issues that I have been dealing with. I appreciate his attention and care. The surgery was painless and swift. Recovery is going easy and I can wait for my follow up appointment to see how I am doing. Thanks team, you all are a world class bunch of amazing professionals.
