About Periodontal Implant Center
Periodontal Implant Center operates on South Walker Avenue in the South Oklahoma City area of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Implants are considered by many dentists the most durable way to replace a missing tooth, since the titanium post fuses with the jaw bone over several months and then supports a crown that functions much like a natural tooth. Enough healthy bone is the main prerequisite, and a graft can build that up first if needed.
Gum disease treatment ranges from a deeper professional cleaning for early inflammation through to more involved periodontal care once bone around the teeth has started to be affected. Bleeding gums are usually the earliest sign, and the early stage is reversible with proper cleaning and better daily plaque control.
Periodontics is the specialty focused on the gums and the bone supporting the teeth, handling more advanced gum disease, related surgical treatment, and — in many practices — dental implant placement, which sits naturally alongside that training.
Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.
Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts. Everyone was so nice. Dr. Hagar explained everything so perfectly.
April 2024: It took about 19 months before insurance processed and Periodontal Implant Center refunded my money. April 2023: My actual periodontal care was great, which is the only reason I'd give any stars. If you can afford all your treatment out of pocket and don't have to worry about insurance kicking in, this is the place for you. But for someone like myself who relies on insurance, steer clear. Dealing with billing was/is an absolute nightmare (7 months post-procedure, still dealing with them). My procedure was done September 2022. Because of this, I'll likely never return.
I have severe PTSD from my past dental experience. April, Lori and Dr. Klaus all made my new patient appointment the absolute best experience, beyond my expectations. Dr. Klaus was thorough, GENTLE, and very pleasant. ALMOST no insurance covers periodontal services up front, so don't let some of the bad reviews fool you. This is the place I will forever seek treatment because of the tranquility and 'good vibes'. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
Dr. Hagar and his staff do an incredible job making you feel comfortable and welcome before and during your preclude. They walked me through the whole process before I had my procedure. He did my gum graft surgery and I would go back to him 100 times over if I had to. He and his staff helped me relax and get through my procedure with ease. Cannot recommend this office more.
I absolutely love Dr.Hager, Dr Klaus and staff. My family have all been treated in the office. They are gentle, caring and friendly. The front office helped in filing my insurance to get my reimbursement quickly. Highly recommended.,
Dr. Klaus and her assistants did a fantastic job on my cosmetic crown lengthening. I am very pleased with the results, and I just cannot say enough good things about the entire office. Financial information was provided in a very clear manner, appointments ran on time and smoothly, and the front office was always helpful. Highly recommended!!
