I've been going to Perspective for about 3 years now and every visit has been a positive experience! Even through some difficult treatments that I needed, I never felt scared and I was always heard when I voiced any concerns. The team is so kind, I can tell they genuinely care about the clients that come through their doors. I have always had dental fears, and Perspective is the first dental office that I actively looked forward to visiting.
Dr. Smithermann and the team helped me with a custom oral appliance after I got diagnosed with sleep apnea. Highly recommend! They are all so kind , knowledgeable, and thorough every visit. It was easy to schedule and come in for an adjustment for my device as needed. I am moving out of town and very sad to leave them!!

My husband and I have been going to Perspective Dental for 5 years and love it! Dr. Smitherman has helped me pinpoint some sensitivity on my teeth and fix it with a new brushing technique. Been a patient for around three years or so, originally found them on an r/Austin thread asking about recommendations for places that are very sensitive and patient, especially about sensory issues. Every single person is so lovely and kind, I always feel welcome. The reminder texts are so, so helpful for someone like me. I’ve gotten cleanings, X-rays, and even two wisdom teeth extracted in office. All ez-pz. Dr. Smitherman is kind, efficient, and straight forward. I always know what’s going on. Super responsive via call and text. The sunglasses and headphones during appointments is a game changer. Never felt more taken care of. Hope my work doesn’t ever change insurance, as I’m covered here and feel so pampered!
Had an amazingggg dental assistant, Juliet! Was so welcoming and ven thhough she knew i worked in dentistry she stayed so informational and professional! From the front admin ladies to the dental hygienist assistants in the back and Dr. Smitherman herself, the whole experience is amazing! I enjoy coming here and have referred others like my husband and child to come here. Even when I need fillings and to talk about what is going on with my teeth, this thorough team makes me feel comfortable to ask all the questions and gain confidence I am making good decisions about my teeth. The flexible staff makes it easy to get appointments, even when booked. They talk to me about my teeth needs and preferences when scheduling my next appointment b/c not everything in life maked that a convenient choice. They may not be equipped to do all things dental like root canals, but they have referred me to excellent surgical dentist who are just as amazing. They also have a wonderful price cut program if you are self pay. They try to think of everything to make dental life better.
