About Phoenix Pediatric Dental llc

Phoenix Pediatric Dental llc is a dental practice on West Northern Avenue in Glendale, Arizona. Pediatric dental care is built around treating children specifically — dentists with additional training in child development and behaviour management, and offices designed to make a first visit unintimidating. Guidance generally points to a child's first dental visit around age one or within six months of the first tooth.

At the core of a general dental practice is preventive and restorative care: checkups, professional cleanings, fillings, and screening for decay and gum disease before either becomes a bigger problem. It is the kind of appointment most people need on a routine schedule rather than only when something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. They have been amazing. My son chipped his tooth over the summer and they got him in to get it fixed before school started. They were very patient with myself, add a scared mom and my son with 21 questions. We just did our 6 month visit. It was so quick. Love this location

I am livid after the experience my children had at this dentist. I brought in my 5-year-old and my older son for routine visits, only to be told they both supposedly needed multiple teeth pulled immediately. For my 5-year-old, they recommended pulling FOUR bottom teeth, claiming the roots “weren’t dissolving fast enough.” Luckily, I trusted my gut and got a second opinion and thank God I did. The second dentist told me that pulling those teeth so early would actually cause more harm, especially since kids don’t usually lose those teeth until ages 6–7. There was absolutely no reason to pull them right now. Then, with my older son, this office recommended pulling six of his teeth because they were “loose” and “needed to come out.” The second dentist we saw said she was only slightly concerned about ONE tooth and even then thought it was worth giving it more time before doing anything. So explain to me why this office was so eager to yank teeth out of both of my kids? The amount of unnecessary, aggressive treatment they tried to push was beyond stressful and completely unacceptable. Parents trust dental professionals to care for their children, not to recommend extreme procedures that aren’t needed. I will never return to this office, and I strongly urge other parents to get a second opinion before agreeing to anything here. This entire ordeal caused my family so much stress for absolutely no reason.

I just wanted to say thank you for a truly great experience today. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so professional and kind. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions. I especially want to thank the assistant (I'm so sorry I can't recall his name!) who was beyond wonderful with my 8-year-old autistic son. He explained the procedure in a way that was easy to understand, which made all the difference. We are so grateful for the care and attention you gave us!

Have been bringing my kids here for a few years now and they love the experience! Never thought my kids would say they love going to see Dr. Bailey and the amazing ladies that assist him. We always receive warm welcome from the friendly and bubbly Julia. I’ve recommended friends and family to this office and will continue to do so for their amazing service!
