About Piney Point Dental Implant Center

Piney Point Dental Implant Center is a Mid-West Houston practice on Fondren Road, in the cluster of medical and dental offices that anchor the Westchase / Sharpstown / Piney Point area between the West Loop and Beltway 8. The clinic name signals the focus: this is an implant-focused practice, not a general dental office that also places implants. For patients in west Houston — Westchase, Briargrove, Sharpstown, Bellaire, the broader Fondren and Beltway 8 west corridor — having a dedicated implant center on Fondren means consultations and follow-ups don't have to compete with the Medical Center congestion or the Galleria-area parking situation.

You can have a single missing tooth replaced with an implant here, or move to a full-arch restoration when multiple teeth are failing simultaneously. Bone grafting and oral surgery are handled in-house, which matters because a meaningful share of implant cases turn out to need pre-implant structural work that imaging reveals — and handling the graft, healing wait, and fixture placement under one roof shaves weeks off the overall timeline. Full mouth rehabilitation is the option when older dental work has accumulated past the point where individual fixes deliver a stable, comfortable bite anymore.

If you live or work in west Houston and want an implant-focused practice that's a five-minute drive on Fondren — not a Medical Center or Galleria commute — this is a sensible Westchase-area option for the consultation phase.

On cost, independent implant-focused practices in Mid-West Houston typically price between the chain offices and the boutique inner-loop specialty centers, and a consultation here is where you get a real quote tied to your specific case. Patients researching best clinics for same-day dental implants in Houston, low-cost All-on-4 implants in Houston, or budget dental implant clinics in Houston will find this practice a useful comparison point.

A Mid-West Houston implant practice on Fondren Road in the Westchase area, offering single-tooth implants, full-arch restorations, bone grafting, and full mouth rehabilitation — an independent option for west-Houston patients along Fondren and the Energy Corridor.

What days is Piney Point Dental Implant Center open?
Piney Point Dental Implant Center is open Monday through Friday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Piney Point Dental Implant Center offer?
Listed services at Piney Point Dental Implant Center include Dental Implants, Oral Surgery, Full Mouth Rehabilitation and Bone Grafting. The full list is shown on this page.
How long does a dental implant take from start to finish?
Commonly several months, because the implant needs time to integrate with the jaw bone before the final crown is fitted. Timelines stretch if a bone graft is needed first, and some cases allow a temporary tooth in the meantime.
Am I a candidate for dental implants?
It comes down to having enough healthy bone to hold the implant and gums free of active disease. Smoking and uncontrolled diabetes both affect healing. An examination with imaging is what actually answers it.
What is a surgical extraction and how is it different from a normal one?
A surgical extraction is used when a tooth cannot simply be lifted out — commonly because it is impacted, broken at the gumline, or has curved roots — and involves opening the gum or removing bone to access it.

Dr Steve Koo is one of the best practitioners I’ve dealt with in any medical field. Steve’s work is complex and flawless EVERY TIME. He’s a perfectionist and that matters to me. Great office folks too. Multiple implants upper and lower, home run every time.

I appreciate all the effort the oral surgeons put to make this facility a professional environment. But your front desk staff is just terrible. They never answer the phone. The one time we were actually able to get ahold of yall, the front lady just sounded like we were inconveniencing her at the sound of us rescheduling an appointment. We had follow up question regarding the prices but she hung up before we could even ask anything else. These people that your patients deal with before the doctors will run your clientele out. I've seen enough to not want to give you anymore business. To the lady at the front desk, if you hate your job so much, quit.

I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Dr. Koo and his entire team. After dealing with a complex issue for several years, I was fortunate to find Dr. Koo, who approached my case with confidence and expertise and successfully treated my condition. Dr. Koo is an exceptional oral surgeon who truly listens to his patients. He is compassionate, thorough, and takes the time to clearly explain every aspect of the treatment process. He patiently answers all questions and goes above and beyond to ease any concerns or anxiety. Thanks to his skill and dedication, I felt well-informed and comfortable throughout my care. I highly recommend Dr. Koo to anyone in need of an outstanding oral surgeon.
