About Pinnacle Peak Dentistry - Scottsdale

Based on East Pinnacle Peak Road in the Shops At Pinnacle Peak area of Scottsdale, Arizona, Pinnacle Peak Dentistry - Scottsdale is a dental practice serving the area. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts. Pinnacle Peak Dentistry - Scottsdale is open Monday through Thursday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Pinnacle Peak Dentistry - Scottsdale offer?

How long do dental implants last?
The implant itself is designed to be permanent and frequently lasts decades. The crown attached to it is the part more likely to need replacing over time, and implants can still be lost to gum infection if cleaning is neglected.
What is a bone graft and why might I need one?
Bone shrinks after a tooth is lost, and if there is not enough left to anchor an implant, grafting rebuilds the volume first. It is a common preliminary step when a tooth has been missing for a long time.
Is it normal for teeth to be sensitive to cold?
Mild, brief sensitivity is common and often relates to exposed root surfaces or worn enamel. Sensitivity that lingers after the cold is removed is more significant and worth having examined, as it can indicate the nerve is involved.

Dr. Clayton has retired. I must say I really like the new dentist, Dr. Schwartz. He is very nice and he is very thorough. Sam is a really good dental hygienist. He took plenty of time with me. Both Sam and Dr. Schwartz explained things to me very well. I absolutely recommend them!

I had a great experience at Pinnacle Peak Dentistry - Scottsdale. I came in as a new patient to repair a chipped front tooth, and everything went exactly how you’d hope. They got me in on the first appointment I requested, greeted me as soon as I walked in, and took me back right on time. The dental assistant (I’m sorry, I forgot your name!) was friendly, personable, and made me feel comfortable from the start. Dr. Michael Schwartz was honest, straightforward, and explained everything he was doing throughout the procedure. His work turned out amazing, you’d never know my tooth had been chipped. Picasso 🤌🏼 Myra and Sandra at the front desk were just as wonderful. They were patient, kind, and helped me sort out a few things. Their experience made the entire process quick, easy, and stress free (for me 😬) Highly recommended!

Every 6 months I have an outstanding experience at Pinnacle Peak Dentistry. Taylor is the best hygienist; she is always very thorough, gentle, and personable. Dr. Schwartz is very pleasant, knowledgeable and takes time to answer all my questions without making me feel rushed. I would also like to recognize Myra, the exceptional office manager, who is very welcoming, caring, helpful, and efficient. Thank you Pinnacle Peak Dentistry for your exceptional care.

My wife and I have been going to Pinnacle Peak Dentistry for a couple of years now, and we can highly recommend them. Dr. Schwartz and his team are kind, punctual, and run an exceptionally well‑organized office. They use the latest technology and always take the time to explain what they’re doing if you’re curious about any procedure. On a personal note, I can’t use numbing agents, and Dr. Schwartz was able to replace an old filling completely pain‑free without them — which is incredible. I would definitely encourage anyone looking for a new dentist to check them out.

Dr. Schwartz has a clean and well organized office. His staff and him do a great job making patients feel relaxed and comfortable. He does a nice job making you aware of the health of your oral health. His technicians and him are eager to teach you preventive care for your oral hygiene. They also like to have some fun with the patients and have the staff pumpkin decorating contest judged by the patients.
