About Portland Smile Design

Portland Smile Design provides dental care on Northeast 122nd Avenue in the Northeast Portland area of Portland, Oregon. A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Frequently Asked Questions

Portland Smile Design is on Northeast 122nd Avenue in the Northeast Portland area of Portland, Oregon (97230).
What days is Portland Smile Design open?

What services does Portland Smile Design offer?
Listed services at Portland Smile Design include Veneers. The full list is shown on this page.
How long do veneers last?
Porcelain veneers commonly last a decade or more with reasonable care. They can chip or debond, and the tooth underneath still needs protecting from decay and gum disease as normal.
What is the difference between veneers and crowns?
A veneer covers the front surface of a tooth and is mainly cosmetic. A crown encases the whole tooth and is used when the tooth is structurally weakened. How much sound tooth remains usually decides which is appropriate.
How can I look after my teeth between appointments?
Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and cleaning between the teeth daily covers most of it. Limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount consumed.

Dr. Jasmine and all the staff at Portland Smile Design are AWESOME. Before seeing Dr. Jasmine I had a bunch of dental work that came also with a lot of pain. I’d started to dread coming to the dentist. But three fillings and a cleaning in I’ve had NO PAIN with this team. What a relief! What a happy accident to find this place. Highly recommend!

I have been going to this dentist office for a long time It has been through a couple of doctors, but is now owned by doctor jasmine, and she is amazing. She is very professional and I have never met a dentist that is so gentle. You'd barely even feel her shots when she's numbing, you and her staff are all amazing. They are all very skilled people. And we'll take seriously good care of you. Their prices are reasonable also.

I went Here to have my bottom teeth removed to receive a future lower plate And Impressions also to receive a full set of dentures, with that being said I don't have one single complaint I was so happy to be without teeth that I could jump for joy!!! And the new Dentist Jasmine was remarkable and she was gentle and very patient with me because I was a bit nervous about the needle because I have Tattoos all over but couldn't take that giant needle in my gums which she did it very quick and professional. I have the up most respect for Jasmine and her Assistant who actually was the secretary back in the day bcuz they were short staffed. (I'm guessing) The assistant was amazing too. They all are very sweet!! I would definitely recommend them to everyone bcuz they are patient, understanding, and always smiling 😁. Thanks So Much Portland Smile Design I will see you soon!!!

This was absolutely the worst trip I have ever had to the dentist. I called way in advance to get an appointment to get a game plan on fixing somethings with my teeth I also asked if they did cleanings. They did. So I added that to my appointment. Worst. Mistake. Ever. Dr Jasmine did my cleaning and when I came in they had a welcome banner for her so I assume she was new there. My mouth was literally in pain for two days after the appointment from the cleaning , the cleaning was a rushed, sloppy, and painful. Before doing the cleaning I said I had very sensitive teeth , and during my cleaning I made it clear I was in a lot of pain. That’s when she responded and said that this tool just works the best and goes faster than the other type .. she was using a water pick scraper thing instead of a normally scraper.. and not being gentle at all even when I made it so clear I was in a lot of pain she continued to be very aggressive . She told me to let her know if I needed a break but honestly I was at the point of get me out of here I do t want to prolong this and I don’t actually feel like I can tell her to stop. After she finishes scraping my teeth she goes to clean them , once again extremely rushed and hands down the messiest cleaning I’ve had, she was getting the toothpaste on my cheeks/lips from it flying off the tool or dropping off the tool, she told me that she wasn’t a dental hygienist , and the dental hygienist people are like cleaning fairy’s and she just wasn’t one of those and that’s why everything was so messy. After she put floride on and got it allllll over my lips too. I won’t be going back. I made an appointment because there are really good reviews but honestly I’ve never had an experience that bad in my life, I’ve also never had my teeth hurt for two days after my appointment. Everything was very rushed and painful.

Polite, Welcoming, Friendly, Professional and Competent Staff. Very caring, and genuinely interested in making sure you are as comfortable as possible. My mouth is very sensitive and when I shared that, they listened and checked in with me here and there to make sure I was doing well. Def highly recommend this place!

I had an incredible experience at this dental office. I went in for composite bonding and the results honestly exceeded my expectations. My teeth came out perfectly even, polished, and natural looking. Dr. Moya was so attentive and his assistants! I can see how committed they are to making sure you walk out with a smile you love. What impressed me most was the level of care and precision they put into every detail. I left feeling so happy and confident with my results that I’ve decided to switch over and make this my new permanent dental office. Truly a five-star experience from start to finish! ✨
