ATTENTION: First off, I want to be clear here. I think the dentist and hygienists here are awesome, very professional. My issue is the complete incompetence of their practice manager and staff. I’ve had multiple poorly handled situations since I’ve been going here (4 years). Poor communication, lack of organization, and unnecessarily rude. Just because Portsmouth has a lack of good dental offices, that does not mean you can treat your patients the way that they do. If you decide to start coming here, I GUARANTEE that you will deal with these same issues.
Julia and Megan and Patty are great. Really nice and make you feel comfortable. Diane in the front I've also known for years, very informative. The "new" hires are well-chosen as well, all seem very interested in making you feel at home. I've been going here so long, they feel like family. Always take the time to explain if you ask questions. Finally, the only dentist I see there now (the other retired) is Dr Hunter. He is very soft spoken and explains what he's going to do, and why if you want. I recommend this office highly, and I've been to quite a few over the years.
Dr. Hunter is a brilliant dentist, capable and caring. That he's so easy-going and ready with a laugh or joke makes the experience all the better, and he'll never try to talk you into a procedure you do not need. He's just too honest. Lori, the hygienist, who takes care of my teeth, is the best around and is also so personable. I know going to the dentist isn't always fun, but Dr. Hunter and Lori are doing their best to change that. I actually look forward to my visits.
This practice deserves a thousand stars and I can’t recommend it enough. In Dr Hunter I have finally found a meticulous expert who is at the same time patient, kind and caring. His team is also amazing and I always feel relaxed knowing I am in great hands all around.
Love this practice. Friendly, efficient and also mindful of insurance coverage. So I never feel like I’m going to be surprised with a bill! Dr Hunter is awesome and has helped me with an off work time dental issue. Rhonda is an amazing hygienist!
