About Powers Dental Group
Based on North Carefree Circle in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Powers Dental Group is a dental practice serving the area. General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.
Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.
Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.
Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.
Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.
Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent. My dental checkup and cleaning went fine today. I will ask for Colton in the future.
Office is calm and welcoming. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable. ❤️
Absolutely amazing service!! The staff are always so kind and welcoming and my teeth always feel so clean after my cleaning.
Update to original review: I am updating my review to include a recent voicemail I received from the practice manager. Before speaking with me about the concerns I raised, she asked whether my upcoming appointments should be canceled. This was a premature and inappropriate question to pose without first understanding the issue. The call was also placed from what appeared to be a personal phone rather than the office line, which did not convey a professional or organized approach to patient communication. This follow‑up reflects the same insensitivity to patient issues that led to my loss of confidence in the practice. I am on a perio maintenance plan, and my hygienist was changed with only one day’s notice. No alternative appointment was available until September. This is not an acceptable level of communication or continuity of care for a patient on a structured periodontal schedule. The voicemail and scheduling issues together confirmed that transitioning my care elsewhere is the appropriate decision. Original review: I’ve had repeated issues with scheduling and communication at Powers Dental Group. I always request a specific hygienist because one hygienist caused significant pain in the past. Despite this, that same hygienist was sent into my exam room at my last visit, and I had to leave and reschedule. For my upcoming appointment, the hygienist I scheduled became unavailable, and although the office did try to call, the notice still came only 24 hours before the appointment. A major ongoing problem is that Powers Dental Group and their Falcon location (Dental Specialty Center) cannot see each other’s schedules. The two offices operate independently, which leads to blind scheduling and last‑minute changes. Staff have acknowledged this is a known issue, but leadership has not addressed it. I no longer feel confident in this practice’s reliability, coordination, or willingness to fix known problems.
UPDATE: 07/18/2026. My daughter had her wisdom teeth extracted yesterday from a teeth extraction place here in Colorado Springs from a different business (Specialized in Tooth extraction). All went very well but I believe I rushed them to get us out of the office and they forgot to send us off with Instructions, extra gauze and syringe to push out water into the cavity. They were closed today and so I then went to CVS and they only had booger syringes for babies that came close but doesn't cut the cheese. But;' they recommended I go to a dental office and ask. Well, I called Powers Dental because I go there and explained the situation. They said they'd have the gauze and syringe waiting for me up front. 5 minutes later, I picked it up. Powers Dental reinforces my loyalty; because they are loyal to me. Back to my original post: I am not going anywhere else. My transition from Hawaii to Colorado Springs has been smooth and pleasurable. Coming here has re-emphasized my decision of making the Bombucha jump here as the best choice for me and my Ohana.
This practice got me in same day I called as permanent crown fell off that was redone twice by prior dentist office.( corporate) Wasn't ever going back there. Met with Dr. Elmer. He was thorough in his explanations and re cemented the crown . That was Feb 2026. To date June 19 2026 no issues. Made another appointment for a cleaning and exam. That was a good experience as well. Lydia did a thorough job. What a sweetheart she is. However another permanent crown popped off during the scraping process (that crown was placed by previous office as well and less than 5 years ago). This office had it re cemented within 30 minutes by Nicole. She explained everything with follow up instructions too. Unfortunately exam showed a little cavity and I got a next day appointment with Dr. Elmer. He was very personable and checking that crown re cemented day before was to my satisfaction. I decided on no anesthesia ( given a choice) since it was such a shallow cavity. Dr. Elmer was very gentle and patient most especially when I had a coughing spell. ( hay fever) His Assistant I believe her name was Kacie was very patient and friendly too. Dr. Elmer thoroughly answered any questions I had. Looking forward to my next cleaning appointment with Lydia. The front and back office staff is very friendly. I barely checked in and was taken in for my appointments. This office is clean and comfortable. Happy to have found this office.
This was my first visit to Powers Dental. I was very pleased. Nat was an amazing hygienist. She explained everything she was doing. Dr. Brones was great. I liked that he had a conservative approach. The office staff were all great. I was leaving a dental office that I have loved for 10 years because my insurance changed. I was apprehensive but I think that I am going to enjoy my new dentist office.
I had a great experience at Powers Dental Group in Colorado Springs today. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the entire visit. They gave me useful feedback and recommendations to continue taking care of my oral hygiene and overall dental health. A special thank you to Lydia, who was absolutely awesome and made the experience comfortable and informative. I truly appreciate the professionalism and care from everyone there. Highly recommend!
I had an outstanding experience at this dental clinic from start to finish. The entire team was welcoming, professional, and attentive. The treatment itself was incredibly smooth and virtually painless. I really appreciated how gentle and precise the dentist was .At no point did I feel uncomfortable The clinic is also spotless and well organized, which speaks volumes about their standards of care. I’m extremely happy with the results.my tooth feels completely natural. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for top quality dental care and a genuinely positive experience.
I had a really great experience at this dental office! The woman who helped me was incredibly informative, kind, and understanding throughout the entire visit. She explained everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. She did an amazing job—everything was done perfectly, truly to a T. Her attention to detail really stood out, and you can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. It’s rare to find someone who is both so professional and so compassionate. I’m very grateful for the care I received and would definitely recommend this office!
