About Prairie Dental Centre

Prairie Dental Centre provides dental care on 49 Avenue in the Central Business District area of Leduc, Alberta. Implants are considered by many dentists the most durable way to replace a missing tooth, since the titanium post fuses with the jaw bone over several months and then supports a crown that functions much like a natural tooth. Enough healthy bone is the main prerequisite, and a graft can build that up first if needed.

Clear aligners straighten teeth through a series of custom, removable trays, each worn for one to two weeks before moving to the next in the sequence. They suit mild to moderate crowding and spacing well, and are worn roughly twenty to twenty-two hours a day for treatment to stay on schedule.

Traditional braces use brackets and wires to gradually move teeth into alignment, handling complex bite corrections and significant crowding more predictably than removable alternatives. Treatment commonly runs one to three years, with a retainer worn afterward to hold the result.

A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.

Cosmetic treatment is generally the least invasive branch of dentistry, built around changing how teeth look rather than fixing something broken. Whitening and bonding sit at the lighter end; veneers and reshaping involve more planning. Most cosmetic dental insurance excludes this kind of work, since it is elective rather than medically necessary.

Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it. Prairie Dental is very pleasing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The dental hygienist went beyond just cleaning, finding the tiniest spot on my tung of which I’ll now keep an eye on. Thank you

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful experience at this dental clinic. The staff were kind, welcoming, and very professional from the moment I arrived. A special thank you to Doctor Eugene my dentist from years ago I trust him forever, and thanks to Francis the hygienist who did my cleaning — he was extremely gentle, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. I truly appreciate the care and kindness I received and highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for excellent dental care.

Sorry but I have no photos but I am sure you wouldn't want to see my bad teeth anyway. What I do have to tell you is on the positive side. Well I arrived to have the remainder of my lower teeth pulled and a denture put in. I have CRPS and had a major pain flare up before the dentist even started. It was like he didn't even flinch even though I know he had....he covered it well and kept right on going, and the same goes for his helper I know that seeing someone go through what I go through multiple times a day is a bit frightening but the folks at Prairie Dental went thru it with me as if they did it every day. AWESOME FOLKS down there at Prairie Dental !!!

Prairie Dental has been our family go to for all dental needs for over 40 years. There has been 3 different owners during that time and each one has provided excellent service. Great team & great service 👏

Don't go here. ESPECIALLY if you have dental anxiety. Front desk is brutal, they're so rude. Never had 1 positive experience with front desk. They ignore and mean mug you. They make you pay a fee if you cancel within 48 hours.. and are really rude if you cancel even before the 48 hours. They send you a text 4 months early to book your appt thinking it's time.. only to find out it's not for many months! Ended up having to pay for a full service because of this. Another experience: I brought my daughter in for a cleaning. We did the cleaning but she had a stubborn wiggly tooth being held on by a thread. I told him to go ahead and yank it out (took .1 second) and he charged me 300 for a tooth removal. ALSO My husband had a tooth removed and they left chunks of bone in the socket. Unbelievable. Also there's no tv to look a while your getting your teeth done. Not sure why I stayed here for so long but I'm happy we moved.
