About Presidential Dental Group

Presidential Dental Group provides dental care on 16th Street Northwest in the Northwest Washington area of Washington, District of Columbia. At the core of a general dental practice is preventive and restorative care: checkups, professional cleanings, fillings, and screening for decay and gum disease before either becomes a bigger problem. It is the kind of appointment most people need on a routine schedule rather than only when something hurts.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not. You can reach Presidential Dental Group through this page to ask a question, check current availability, or request an appointment.

While the staff is nice, the coordination of my care was not great and the communication with the office was challenging.

The entire team at Presidential Dental Group provided great customer service and care during my visit. I was there for a crown and to schedule my treatment plan. All was accomplished as planned and timely. Highly recommend this team for all of your dental needs.

The dentist Ivory Hancock, DMD, was very rough sticking the needles in my mouth she was ramming it in and now I have sores in my mouth, I believe you call them canker sores. And the Spanish la dy who was assisting her lied to me telling me the price that was quoted to me $1,600 for 2 root canal included the crown. Which was not true each crown was separate from the root canal $1,000 each. I found out about this after the dentist injected me with an!esthesia in my mouth. And I had to leave without any procedure being done, because I was not willing to pay $3,600 for two root canal which includes the crown. Now my mouth have sores in it with her being so rough jamming the needle inside my mouth. This have never happened to me before. This was a horrible experience for me. The deception and roughness that left sores in my mouth left me feeling scared of going to the dentist. And now I can't trust Better Business Bureau since Presidential Dental Group had an A+ on there, I would have to dig a little deeper now.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME BOOKING HERE. They will charge you if you cancel 48 hrs before you're appointment but have no problem cancelling your appt, even when it was scheduled as an emergency. Terrible business practice. She didn't even offer other days or times just a simple "sorry, no doctos are available"

I was very pleased with the whole experience. I have had multiple appointments recently and they all have been great. The receptionist is very pleasent. My hygienist was very good. Dr Brown was so patient with me. I love her holistic approach and explaining what would be the best plan for my care. I was previously nervous to go to the dentist. Now I am very comfortable with going to the dentist.

I was told my appointment was cancelled after I arrived. I arrived at my appointment that had been scheduled for weeks and was informed that they had tried to reach me to tell me my appointment needed to be rescheduled and they couldn’t see me. I did not receive a voicemail, email, or text notifying me of an attempt to reschedule. I did, however, receive an appointment confirmation text from the office 2 days prior, ironically with a note that there was a cancellation fee of $125 for cancellation within 48 hours of the appointment. I then received 2 appointment reminder texts from zocdoc the morning of my appointment. Finally, I received a text from the office hours after my planned appointment time asking me to leave a google review based on my experience..

My first and last visit. There is nothing presidential about this dental practice but their name. The tools looked secondhand. The dental tech was not sensitive to my needs. Although I explained in detail what my issue was the only thing they caught was a tooth sensitivity to hot and cold. I was referred to a practice that can remedy my issue. I would not recommend going for something as simple as a cleaning. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

My recent visit was excellent from start to finish. I was greeted immediately by Ines at the front desk, who was warm and friendly and made me feel welcome. Tiffany, my hygienist, provided a very thorough and comfortable cleaning. Afterward, Dr. Brown took the time to ask about any concerns. She was able to repair a chipped tooth and smooth out a problem area right away, which I greatly appreciated. Following that, Jayleen performed an excellent scan for my night guard. The entire staff was professional, accommodating, and attentive throughout my visit. Dr. Brown demonstrated expertise and efficiency while clearly explaining the treatment needed. I left very satisfied and highly recommend this office.
