About Primary Dental Clinic

Primary Dental Clinic sits on North Garfield Street in the Hatfield area of Midland, Texas, and runs as a general family practice rather than a single-specialty office. The same team handles a toddler's first checkup, a teenager's cavity, and a parent's root canal, which means your records and treatment history stay in one place instead of scattered across referrals. That structure matters most when something urgent comes up -- a cracked tooth on a weekend, a filling that falls out -- because the clinic treats emergencies alongside its regular schedule rather than turning walk-ins away.

Day to day, the practice covers cleanings, cavity fillings, and gum disease treatment for early bleeding or receding gums, plus tooth decay treatment before it reaches the nerve. When decay goes deeper, a root canal removes infected tissue inside the tooth rather than pulling it, though extractions happen when a tooth is too damaged to restore. Crowns cap a weakened tooth, and bridges fill a gap by anchoring a false tooth to the teeth next to it. A filling addressed in one visit can turn into a crown appointment down the line, and teeth whitening rounds out the cosmetic side for patients who want their smile addressed too.

If a cracked tooth can't wait for next week's opening, or a filling is going to need a crown built around it later, this is a practice built to handle both the routine visit and the one you didn't plan for.

Cost depends on what's actually being treated -- a cleaning and a root canal aren't priced the same, and the clinic's own estimate after examining the tooth in question will tell you more than any general figure could. The office builds its pricing around affordable dental care, which is worth weighing against your specific treatment plan rather than taking as a blanket promise. Primary Dental Clinic reads best as a fit for a household that wants one dentist for a cleaning, a crown, a whitening visit, and the occasional emergency, rather than a different specialist for each.

Primary Dental Clinic is a family dental practice on North Garfield Street in Midland, Texas, offering cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, and emergency care -- a fit for households that want routine and urgent dental work handled by one office.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Primary Dental Clinic located in Midland?
Primary Dental Clinic is on North Garfield Street in the Hatfield area of Midland, Texas (79705).
What days is Primary Dental Clinic open?
Primary Dental Clinic is open Monday through Thursday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Primary Dental Clinic offer?
Listed services at Primary Dental Clinic include Cosmetic Dentistry, Root Canal Treatment, Emergency Dentistry, Dental Crowns and Dental Bridges. The full list is shown on this page.
What is the difference between veneers and bonding?
Bonding shapes composite resin directly onto the tooth in a single visit and is more easily repaired. Veneers are thin custom-made shells fitted over the front of the tooth, usually requiring some enamel to be removed, and they tend to last longer and resist staining better.
How many appointments does root canal treatment take?
It can sometimes be completed in one visit, though more complex teeth with several canals may need two. Which applies depends on the tooth involved and whether there is active infection to settle first.
Is a root canal as painful as people say?
The reputation is largely outdated. The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic and is usually no more uncomfortable than having a filling. The severe pain people associate with root canals is generally the infection beforehand, which the treatment relieves.

It’s the best experience I’ve had for a dentist. They are very friendly. I had a root canal done had injection but didn’t feel needle or pain at all. Best place to go to when you don’t like to go to the dentist.

Love this dental practice! The hygienist was so thorough and kind, and Dr Hughen is excellent at dentistry but also at fully explaining everything. The front desk staff is always pleasant, especially Carol!
