About Queen City Family Dentistry

Queen City Family Dentistry on Maple Road in Amherst is a general-dentistry practice serving the eastern Buffalo metro corridor — the "Queen City" framing nods to Buffalo's historic nickname while the Maple Road address keeps the practice anchored in the Amherst suburb. The office runs as a named-owner family practice with most appointments being routine recall visits for existing Amherst-area households. The clinic covers the standard generalist scope in-house.

Patients searching for a dentist accepting new patients in Buffalo, NY, a family dentist in Buffalo, or a family dental practice in Buffalo can find a complete generalist program here, including cleanings, tooth-colored fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal therapy, basic extractions, and gum-disease treatment. The team handles teeth whitening for cosmetic touch-ups, and dental emergencies for established families are typically fit in same-week rather than referred between separate offices.

If you live in Amherst, near Maple Road, or in the broader eastern Buffalo metro suburb corridor and want a long-running named-dentist practice rather than a chain location, Queen City Family Dentistry is a sensible Amherst starting point.

Pricing here lands in the standard range for an established Amherst-area general practice — most major insurance plans are accepted, treatment estimates are walked through before any procedure begins, and the office leans toward conservative restorative care rather than the aggressive upsell some larger chains lean on. For Amherst-area families looking for a long-term dental home, this practice belongs on the shortlist of established Maple Road generalists serving the area. Office hours typically include early-morning and end-of-day appointment slots that fit working family schedules, and new-patient intake usually fits into a first-cleaning visit within a couple of weeks. New-patient intake typically fits into a first-cleaning slot within a couple of weeks, and the office handles coordinated household scheduling so multiple family members can stack their visits on the same trip rather than scattering across the week. New patients can usually be fit into a first-cleaning visit within a couple of weeks rather than long backlogs, and the office is set up for direct insurance billing rather than reimbursement-only paperwork.

Queen City Family Dentistry on Maple Road in Amherst provides general and family dental care — cleanings, fillings, crowns, and routine restorative work — for Amherst and east-suburb Buffalo households.

This office is absolutely wonderful! They were able to get me in for a tooth issue even before my first scheduled cleaning, which I really appreciated. Everyone in the office was incredibly kind, understanding, and accommodating. After having a terrible experience with a previous dentist, I was very nervous, but they made me feel so much more comfortable and completely changed how I felt about going to the dentist. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and compassionate dental office.

Almost seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. I called and told them i had a problem with my tooth that i had been experiencing discomfort for a long time. Then they brought me in and gave me a cleaning. I told them the entire time about the pain in my tooth. They scheduled me for another appointment 6 months out telling me that the cleaning might help with the pain. 2 months after the first cleaning i called again and told them about my issue and that a cleaning isnt enough. They acted as if they had no idea why i came in for a cleaning then if i had issues with my tooth. I was rather astounded at this point. Anyways we set up an appointment where the put cold on the tooth i told them about and said i need to get a root canal and referenced me to another location. Then another month later they charged me just shy of $200 because that last appointment was an “emergency appointment” that they didnt even inform me about. This is the worst dentistry i have ever been too.

Dr. Samantha and her staff are incredibly knowledgeable and amiable! This was my first time visiting the office and I was not disappointed. She gave me advice for an issue I had had for a while, that no other doctor knew or cared to give me the advice she did! So happy I switched to Queen City Dentistry and excited for them to be my new primary dentist.

I recently moved to a new area of Buffalo and needed a new dental hygienist. Caroline was my hygienist at Queen City. She was very welcoming and her warm and friendly demeanor put me at ease. Always speaking to me respectfully and pointing out all the positives of my dental self care. She explained all she was doing and I could feel she was thoroughly doing a deep cleaning of my teeth. I am looking forward to continual care with her as my hygienist as well as the expert help of Dr. Smith for my future dental needs.

Hands down the best experience I've ever had at a dentist office! Dr Smith and her staff are welcoming, punctual, organized, and overall lovely... which feels rare these days. They are true professionals with a personal touch, from the moment you call to make your appoitnment to the minute you leave. I would highly recommend anyone/everyone give them a try, even if you think your dentist is good, just to experience what an extraordinary dental visit can be. Caroline (hygienist) is a gem and I can't say enough great things about her!! I've never had a teeth cleaning so thorough, but gentle, and not leaving like your mouth was clawed at. She is kind, funny, thoughtful, and a master at her craft. These women know what they're doing! Thank you to Dr Smith & the whole staff for taking such good care.

The most pleasant dental appointment I ever had. My neighbor recommended Dr. Smith and I couldn’t be happier. As soon as you walk in the front desk ladies welcome you with a smile. I felt comfortable instantly. My hygienist, Julie, was incredibly thorough and made me feel very comfortable. It was the most gentle cleaning I’ve had. Dr. Smith came in and was very professional, and explained everything to me, I truly appreciated her kindness, and taking the time to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend this dental office.

After going to the same dentist for 40 years we had to find a new one (due to our dentist retiring). We both felt very comfortable here. The Dr and staff were all great. Very caring and competent. We are so happy with our choice. So happy that we were able to find a small practice with the same comfortable feel we had for the past 40 years!

I have been searching for a dentist since my former one of more than 30 years retired. After trying one that seemed competent but impersonal and unempathetic, I was very pleased with my first visit to Queen City Family Dentistry. All the people in this all-female practice were welcoming and friendly. They seemed to be genuinely interested in getting to know me. Both my hygienist and Dr. Smith took a great deal of time to work with me, explaining what they were doing, what they were recommending and why in a lot of detail. I learned a great deal and came out thinking that I may have finally found a new dental home.
