About Raben Dentistry

Based on East 22nd Street North in Wichita, Kansas, Raben Dentistry is a dental practice serving the area. General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit. Kudos to Dr Lucynda Raben and her ""dream dental team. They give exceptional and excellent dental care. The friendly atmosphere from the entrance to the exit is rarely found in past offices I've been in. Dr. Raben and her assistants explain clearly every procedure. Dr Raben's chair side manners, her attitude & communication style that she uses while explaining procedures aliviates all anxieties that I use to have when going to the dentist. Now Iam a "happy camper" when I leave.😊

Lucynda and every team member I interacted with was pleasant, positive, and professional. I had a large filling to take care of. She gave me a detailed diagnoses, showed me what should be prioritized, and discussed what I should really go after in the near future. When dealing with a dentist, you want honesty, good craft work, and realism. I got the full deal at Raben Dentistry!

Mouth health is so important to total health. I didn't know this until i started attending Dr Raben's office 15 years ago. Other dentists previously in my life never made the connection for me.

Dr. Raben is one of the best dentists I’ve ever been seen by!! When I first came to her dentistry I explained how terrified I was of dentist due to past experiences! Her staff quickly put me at ease with their smiles and funny stories! Dr. Raben herself is gentle, explains what she’s doing and what she thinks needs to be done next. I feel very confident with her expertise! She and her staff have brought my smile back!!

I've been going to Raben Dentistry since 2002. My boys, now 17 and 19, grew up with Dr Raben and her staff. They have NEVER been afraid of the dentist and are so cared for! I've had years of improvement in my teeth and gum health under their care. I also needed a couple crowns over the years and they were taken care of gently and professionally, no complaints. When I took a couple years off from the dentist (my bad!), a tooth died and I ended up needing a root canal - orchestrated with care and diligence. Now I will never stray from my next appointment. I trust and follow all of their recommendations. Highly recommend!

My wife and I have been with Raben Dentistry for over two years. Our experience has been exceptional. All persons involved have been kind, professional and diligent. I have recommended them many times to friends, and will continue to do so at every opportunity. Seriously, I even LIKE these people. Can't go wrong.
