About Red Hawk Dentistry
Red Hawk Dentistry is a dental practice on Mercantile Street in the Meadows area of Castle Rock, Colorado. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.
Clear aligners straighten teeth through a series of custom, removable trays, each worn for one to two weeks before moving to the next in the sequence. They suit mild to moderate crowding and spacing well, and are worn roughly twenty to twenty-two hours a day for treatment to stay on schedule.
A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.
Cosmetic treatment is generally the least invasive branch of dentistry, built around changing how teeth look rather than fixing something broken. Whitening and bonding sit at the lighter end; veneers and reshaping involve more planning. Most cosmetic dental insurance excludes this kind of work, since it is elective rather than medically necessary.
Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.
Emergency dental care covers sudden problems that will not wait for a routine appointment — severe pain, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, swelling, or a lost filling that leaves a tooth exposed. Same-day or urgent appointments are the point of an emergency service, rather than the standard multi-week booking window. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. I’m officially done with this dentist office. This is the second time I’ve had to deal with Vickie to reschedule an appointment, and she is rude and lacks empathy every single time. I had a temporary crown put on and couldn’t make my appointment due to snow and the fact that I live an hour away. Instead of helping, she basically scolded me for only being available one day a week, I mean I have a job just like everyone else. My options? Come in the very next day or wait over a month. No flexibility, no understanding. I ended the call with no appointment and no plan for when I can get my permanent crown, meaning they expect me to keep a temporary crown that I already paid for I might add, for almost two months which is completely unacceptable. Had I known this would be an issue, I would have never gotten my work done here and I would have gone somewhere different. As soon as I get my permanent crown put on, I won’t be coming back, and if this office can’t make time for the patients they already have, they should stop taking new ones.
After 8 Years, Turned Away for 4 Minutes I do not recommend this business due to their complete lack of flexibility and empathy, especially toward long-term patients. My wife and I have been loyal patients of this practice for eight years. I left work early for my appointment and encountered unexpected, serious traffic due to road construction on Crowfoot Valley Road. I proactively called the receptionist to inform her I was running late, and she explicitly told me that as long as I arrived within 15 minutes of my appointment time, it would be fine. I arrived just 4 minutes past that grace period (19 minutes after my scheduled time), and I was told they could not see me. The reason given was a "pretty strict schedule." My time was completely wasted, and our eight years of loyalty counted for nothing. A company that is unwilling to accommodate a 4-minute leeway for a loyal patient who communicated proactively has lost our business for good. We will now be searching for a new dentist.
Great office. And local supporters too! Thank you!
I've always hated going to the dentist. After my last dentist closed up shop, it took me a while to get scheduled to see a dentist again. I'm so happy I chose Red Hawk Dentistry. Everyone I have dealt with has been kind and patient. As is no surprise, I had a couple cavities after my dental health hiatus. I had to get cavities filled on both sides of my mouth and getting them taken care of here was much less terrifying than I had imagined it would be. The process was much more comfortable than I was expecting and Dr. Ochoa and the gentleman helping him kept checking in with me to make sure I was doing ok. I will continue to come back here and will recommend this office to anyone that asks for a recommendation. I've seen mention of having difficulties getting in, but I can't say I'm surprised with how professionally Red Hawk seems to handle everything.
I really like how professional everyone is and it’s such a beautiful office and very clean. Highly recommend!! :)
I don't think I have ever had a good experience at a dentist before, let alone a great one, but Dr. Ochoa was fantastic. I came in for a crown and had to bring my newborn. He was very understanding, kind and patient with her crying. The dental hygienists all made me feel comfortable and were incredible supportive. I can't thank Dr. Ochoa and all his amazing staff enough for making the visit go by so well with an 8 week old baby there!
Awesome practice! The office is gorgeous and clean. Dr. Ochoa is great at making his patients feel comfortable and thoroughly explaining his recommendations. Kylie is a wonderful hygienist. I have never felt less stressed at a cleaning in my life. She was extremely gentle and made it a pain-free experience.
