Risas Dental and Braces - Culebra Meadows

My sister had to come in for an emergency, she called ahead to make sure that they were open, they took her information, she found a sitter, drive 45 minutes across town just for them to be “closed”. There was a car parked out back and the lights were on but nobody answered the phone or opened the door. Love when that happens.

I do have to say I’ve always been so scared of the dentist and had bad experience with some before and this time Dr Chapa and her assistant (forgot to get her name ) were the best I’ve had .. I had to get a tooth pulled and they both made me feel so calm and relaxed and just explained everything and took their time to me ..and don’t get me started on the payment plan that helped me out so much and they were way more cheaper then everyone and did a better job at that ..I already told my mom and sister to go.. Thxs again

Just recently moved to Texas and was looking for a new Dentist and Orthodontist to get the process started with braces . I had booked appointments with other dental offices in the city and never followed thru due to the interaction with front desk personal and not so friendly vibe , but this office is amazing . Very friendly staff ! I went in for a consultation basically and was able to meet the Dentist Dr H briefly to just make sure my prior work still looked good and he was so friendly and once I met the orthodontist she was so nice and made me feel so confident starting this journey with her . I go Friday to get my braces on and this is hands down the cheapest cost for braces I’ve ever seen ! They make it so affordable. I feel very confident in this office and I’m so excited for my appointment to start this journey with them

Excellent service! The dentist was able to take out my wisdom tooth the same day! I didn’t feel the shots and was on my way home in 30 minutes! Both locations offer outstanding dentists and staff! They are very caring and do not make you feel self conscious!

I'm so glad I came to this dentist. The staff here are friendly and professional. They made me feel comfortable when the dental work was being performed . They made sure I was comfortable throughout the dental procedure. Now I can smile without embarrassment. This was definitely high quality work. Thank you staff for a wonderful visit. The office opens at 9am. I had a appointment for my daughter at 9am. The time is now 9:11 and they are still not open. When I arrived, the time was 8:50 and the lady came out and said that they were in a meeting and to give them 10 mins....welll why are you guys still not open. Very unprofessional. Just change your time to 9:30. Then you have people outside the door waiting to be seen just for you guys not to open on time. Bad for business. Update: the time is now 9:30am. They opened the door at 9:15am. We are still waiting to be seen.

Absolutely love this place. Took My husband for his tooth pain and now he is so much better. Although it took an extra hour because of an error on insurance, I LOVEDDDD the staff and again if the insurance wasn’t an extra wait we would have been out way sooner. Stephanie was great today I called her explaining to her my struggles with keeping up with ortho I was unaware of her being a new manager so I was worried she wouldn’t understate she did and was able to help me with a emergency problem thank u !

I had an appointment scheduled more than two months in advance. When I arrived at the building, I discovered that the office was closed. I had received automated text reminders confirming my upcoming appointment, yet no one contacted me to inform me of the closure. I then called Risas customer service, and their system indicated that the office was open. The representative also stated that they had not received any notice about the closure. This lack of communication is extremely disappointing and very unprofessional.

I seriously regret ever getting my kids braces at this place. Appointments are hardly available. 2 months out or more and then when you get seen orthodontist is in there for 2 minutes. Not enough time to answer questions. I have one more kid to get braces and this place isn’t it. Find some place else to get braces.

I came in for treatment on a broken molar and ended up getting crowns on three molars next to each other. The temporary crown was made as one single piece covering all three teeth, and once the numbing wore off, the pain was awful — I couldn’t even touch those teeth with my tongue. The temporary crown also wasn’t sealed properly and even started turning green halfway up. When I came back for my permanent crowns, they thankfully replaced them with three separate crowns, but the results were still disappointing. My bite no longer matches up, my teeth on that side don’t even touch, and the surface feels completely smooth, unlike my natural bite. While the pain has decreased over time, it’s still uncomfortable to chew on that side. To make things worse, when removing the temporary crown, they initially didn’t plan to numb me, even though I clearly said the area was extremely sensitive — I had to specifically ask to be numbed. Overall, this was a painful and disappointing experience, and I will not be returning or recommending this office.
