To be honest the service here is good. I have been twice. But their billing practices are seriously suspect. This is the reason for my 1 star rating. Make sure the dental service you were verbally advised you were getting match the bill you are sent - ask for a breakdown before you exit the premises. Thank me later.

Dr. Marshall went out of his way to come in early and 3D print a crown that broke. Highly recommend River Vista Dentistry!!

Dr. Marshall is top tier and so is his staff. 2 crowns and a filling today and the experience was beyond my expectations. Love this team.

Dr. Marshall and his staff are great. I have been going to him for a couple years now. I have anxiety at the dentist and have had no issues. The office staff are great and the environment is comfortable. My family would highly recommend Dr. Marshall.

I had my first root canal today at 61 yrs old, I have had anxiety and bad experiences when it came to going to the dentist, I cried happy tears today because I didn’t feel a thing! He and Vanessa were AMAZING! The entire staff are so kind and professional! I recommend him and his staff to anyone who is looking for a dentist! Thank you Dr.Marshall! Kudos to your staff! Elise❤️

On April 21st, I called River Vista Dentistry to schedule an appt with Dr. J Randall Marshall based on a referral from a friend. I inquired prior to scheduling the appt if my dental insurance was in-network. The receptionist told me they would let me know and scheduled my appt for today, July 9, 2026. I scheduled 2 hours leave for today’s dental appt. Receptionist confirmed my appt on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. At 9:15am this morning, while enroute to appt, the office called to tell me my insurance is out-of-network. I am disappointed because the practice could have let me know this information yesterday and I did not have to take time off or waste gas this morning. I called to speak to officer manager at 11:38am but got their voicemail. I left my return telephone number but have not received a call from them yet. I’m very disappointed with the experience so far and will not recommend to colleagues or friends. -Dr. Veronica Harrington

Dr. Marshall is hands down, the kindest, most patient, and thorough Dentist I have ever experienced. He and his team take care of our family like they were his own. My 4 year old was so scared to go to the dentist that his paper bib was wet with tears but by the time we left he was all smiles and asking not to leave.

Excellent service and I highly recommend. I’ve been coming to Dr. Marshall for over five years now, and I couldn't be happier. From routine cleanings to crowns and whitening, the care is always top-notch. The entire team is professional, welcoming, and truly puts the patient first.

I was previously a regular patient here, when I lived nearby, and have always been extremely happy with the treatment I received and the extremely friendly staff. I made my way back after a couple of years and must say that my experience this time may have been even better. I was able to get a quick appointment, the office is clean and modern, each member of the staff that I interacted with was extremely pleasant and seemed happy to be there. The doctors are great at what they do, are very transparent with the work they are performing, they listen and thoughtfully answer any questions you have. Although I live further away now, I plan on returning as a regular patient again!

I had the best first visit! Being new to the Charlotte area, I was nervous about finding the right place, but the reviews don’t lie, everyone here was incredibly friendly. The entire process was smooth and effortless, and I would absolutely recommend this dentist to anyone! Nikki was a great hygienist and Dr. U was personable and kind!

Dr. Sofia Uraizze, DDS at River Vista Dental did my crown and I had no pain! The numbing material (thanks Ari) worked so well that I didn't feel the needle when Dr. Uraizze proceeded to fully numb me. She took time to explain the process, made me feel calm, comfortable, and most of all the final crown felt great. I really appreciate the technology at River Vista Dental because they have same-day crown creation which eliminates the need for a temporary crown and a second appointment :). Both Dr. Uraizze and Ari made my visit a pleasure as they were extremely professional, zero discomfort, and clear communication. Knowing what to expect is always huge plus for me. If dental treatment causes you anxiety, I believe you'll relax a bit more knowing that she's taking care of you. Many thanks to the front desk staff and I'm all smiles here!

Went here because I heard amazing reviews from my mom. I went in January for a basic cleaning and X-ray. They were transitioning to a new system so the system was down. They couldn’t pull up any appointments for that day. Which is essential because that is when you find out if your appointment is in or out of network. It is October and I’m just now being billed for an out of network appointment. The office is refusing to take responsibility for their own actions. This is disturbing because the dentists there say that they want to be a presence in the Black community and help provide care. Finances is one of the main reasons Black and Brown people avoid medical care. I would have walked out as soon as I knew because the appointment wasn’t even anything special. Didn’t love working with assistants either.
